On 26th May - Singer/songwriter SAHRA releases her new single, ‘Sorry’, her first solo release since pre-pandemic with the help of PRS Foundation’s ‘Women Make Music Fund’. Produced by Slim Typical and due out on Rudimental’s imprint, Major Toms, the song introduces a new era for SAHRA as she combines a unique blend of Pop, R&B and Neo-Soul to create a poetic breakup song. ‘Sorry’ was written throughout the lockdown and for all its darkness, SAHRA was able to find silver linings along the way in the rare opportunity to pause and take a break from life. In the stillness, she was able to create her most personal music to date with ‘Sorry’ discussing a broken relationship and an apology that was too little too late. Since her last release, her evolution of sound and style is remarkable as she continues to merge her love for both classic and contemporary trailblazers, citing the likes of Frida Marlo, Sade, Solange and Nina Simone as key inspirations.
