Millhouse (Thêm, VN)
As a staple in the underground scene, Millhouse has established himself as a prominent figure across the Vietnamese capital, and with a few like-minded individuals, he co-founded the Hanoi-based collective Thêm.
His journey into the world of DJing began at an early age, as he found himself captivated by the infectious rhythms and melodic nuances of 90s house and Italo disco. Inspired by the likes of Giorgio Moroder, Layo & Bushwacka!, and Sylvester, he honed his craft, and developed a unique style that seamlessly blends deep grooves with ethereal melodies.
After his inaugural debut at Sunlit Festival, striving to push further, he linked up with the Electric Bazaar team to play at their annual Electric Escape Festival on the sandy beaches of Cat Ba.
Since then Millhouse has become a regular in the local scene, playing at the likes of Savage, HUM and Mirage.
With a keen ear for track selection and an intuitive ability to read the crowd, Millhouse ensures that each performance is an experience that will keep you grooving all night long.

Như một phần không thể thiếu trong giới underground Hà Nội, Millhouse có khả năng bẩm sinh trong việc tạo ra những bức tranh âm thanh mê hoặc và đã thiết lập mình là một nhân vật nổi bật trên khắp thủ đô Việt Nam.
Hành trình của anh vào thế giới DJ bắt đầu từ khi còn rất trẻ, khi anh thấy bản thân bị cuốn hút bởi những nhịp điệu lôi cuốn và những sắc thái nhạc âm của house thập niên 90 và disco Italo. Được truyền cảm hứng từ những nghệ sĩ như Giorgio Moroder, Layo & Bushwacka! và Sylvester, anh đã hoàn thiện tay nghề của mình và phát triển một phong cách độc đáo, mượt mà kết hợp giữa những nhịp điệu sâu sắc và những giai điệu thần tiên.
Sau khi ra mắt lần đầu tại Sunlit Festival, anh đã cố gắng thúc đẩy mình hơn nữa và liên kết với đội ngũ Electric Bazaar để biểu diễn tại sự kiện hàng năm Electric Escape Festival trên bãi biển cát Cat Ba. Từ đó, Millhouse đã trở thành một gương mặt quen thuộc trong cảnh nhạc địa phương, biểu diễn tại những nơi như Savage, HUM và Mirage.
Với khả năng lựa chọn bài hát tinh tế và khả năng đọc tâm lý của đám đông một cách tự nhiên, Millhouse đảm bảo mỗi buổi biểu diễn là một trải nghiệm sẽ khiến bạn nhún nhảy suốt đêm dài.

We’re kicking off our mix-series with one of our Thêm residents, Millhouse.

Millhouse has been a prominent figure in the Hanoi underground scene for a few years now and recently started Thêm collective with the rest of the gang. If you haven’t seen him play at events around Vietnam, you might have caught him at Moving Parts in Manila or Wonderfruit Festival in Pattaya.

From this mix you can expect hypnotic acid basslines, floaty melodies and dreamy transitions that take you on a cosmic adventure across sound and space 🪐
