The man who gave us countless classics from the Kompakt catalog delivers his latest stroke of genius. “Allein” is based on “Ich war allein,” a schlager song by East German pop icon Ina Martell from 1967, of which there is only a video recording from DFF that never made it onto a record. "Millionaire Blonde" is an Italian musical project that came into being in February 2009, stemming from the vision of Maria Beatrice Alonzi, the group's leader and producer. Their debut music video, "Se Ne Va", has been aired on Italian music channels since July 2009.

The concept:
After years of artistic training and work as an actress, singer, presenter, Maria Beatrice perceived a gap in the Italian music scene. She envisioned a band that could transcend conventional record industry and publishing norms, and yet had the audacity to gently mock those very barriers she aspired to dismantle.

She initiated the project by collaborating with a variety of talented musicians and led this diverse group of personalities, carefully blending their distinct styles into a holistic reality, credible in terms of art, music, and image.

On stage, characters of differing styles fuse together through fresh melodies and inspired lyrics. Simultaneously, the group also creates content for video and web platforms, presenting themselves as "a blonde with girl-friends who don't take themselves too seriously".

The band's approach is dualistic and dichotomous, blending their pop/commercial image with an unconventional distribution strategy. While maintaining a commercial appeal, Maria Beatrice opted to freely distribute Millionaire Blonde's music under Creative Commons. This resulted in them being the only Italian group to have a dedicated slot for their video on national television programming, despite their music being digital-only, not registered with the "Siae" (PRS), and without cooperation from any record company.

In September 2010, the band released "Una Bugia", their third single. This was transformed into an extraordinary animation video directed by Luca Agnani, whose evocative style further amplified the band's provocative and captivating style.

Millionaire Blonde continued to push the envelope by releasing their first English song "If I No Longer Need Anything", which was well received by the British press. The music video for "Euridice", directed by the talented Riccardo Grandi, began circulating throughout Italy since December 2010.

In the summer of 2011, international DJ Dino Mileta created a successful remix of "Se Ne Va". In December 2011, the band's song "Sulla Terra" was chosen from more than 1500 participants to be performed live on Rai (Italian Television) during Sanremo Social Day on 12.01.2012. 

In addition to leading the band Millionaire Blonde, Maria Beatrice Alonzi is a multi-faceted artist and advocate with an impressive career. She has been a performer on various web and television programs, created one-woman live comedy shows, and even served as an executive producer of the Teatro Stabile di Roma.

In the realm of activism, Alonzi has worked with the city police of Rome, Italy, on a campaign against romantic partner violence and created digital dance pieces to support and highlight the plight of women in abusive relationships. She has been vocal about ending the stigma associated with mental health, integrating her advocacy into her artistic work and writing.

As an author, Alonzi has achieved success with books such as "Il Libricino della Felicità" (2019), which became a best-seller in Italy after initial self-publication. Her later work includes "Non voglio più piacere a tutti - Trova il coraggio di amare chi sei e vivere la vita che vuoi" (I don't want to please everyone anymore – Find the courage to love who you are and live the life you want) in 2021, and her first novel: "Noi, parola di tre lettere" (A word of three letters) published in 2023, which has been described as a work that traces a generation that "rejects labels".

Despite her extensive accomplishments, Maria Beatrice has never lost sight of the artistic vision that initially birthed the Millionaire Blonde project. She continues to push boundaries and challenge conventions, bringing her unique blend of artistry, advocacy, and commercial acumen to every new endeavor she undertakes.
