Already causing a storm on floors across the globe People (Rayko birthday edit) harps back to the sounds of the 80’s with big synths, a hypnotic groove &amp; a bassline that can’t be resisted. Showing his true colours, Rayko delivers a dubbed out edit of The O’Jays – Heads Together with a full vocal version being this release’s FREE 320k download available on SoundCloud. On the flip is Revue bringing some house infused retro boogie swing to the E.P. before a Rayko trademark re-interpretation of Unlimited Touch - Searching To Find The One.

One could say that 2011 was Rayko’s year with his hit Broadway being recently announced as the No.1 disco track of 2011 on Juno, but we think that this is just the beginning for him with bigger things to come. Born in the Canary Islands, Rayko is a producer and DJ deeply influenced by the artists and sounds of the 70's and 80's. These influences led him to launch his own label; Rare Wiri in the summer of 2008, gaining immediate critical acclaim with it's first release making Record of the Week at Manchester's highly regarded Piccadilly Records. Rayko has an impressive portfolio of releases under his belt and has an almost insatiable thirst for editing both classics and lost gems in his distinctive and infectious style. Rayko is also an artist central to the Retrospective All Starrs project, which will feature a variety of names from the slowed down house and nu disco scene. Keep your eyes peeled for a series of double 12" albums &amp; download packs with tracks by current &amp; future Retrospective artists.

It's been three years since the last instalment in the "Giant Cuts Presents" series, so this fiery and funky four-tracker from Mexican hero Hotmood is long overdue. He's naturally in fine form, brilliantly joining the dots between loopy disco edits, James Brown and groovy deep house on tasty opener "The Rhythm Is There", before serving up a slightly deeper flavour of disco-house on the dewy-eyed bounce of "My Darling (Dina)". Doc Jam does his best Tiger & Woods impression on his loopy and life-affirming house revision of "The Rhythm Is There", while closing cut "Tropical Space" is an inspired fusion of jazz-funk, disco-house and evocative tropical jazz samples bringing  the summer vibes for the cold winter days.
