The Remixes collection is a full-length re-imagination of "A Color Map of the Sun." Derek Vincent Smith – aka Pretty Lights – invited producers from a wide stylistic spectrum to remix the tracks from his latest album. Derek produced "A Color Map of the Sun" with no intention of having it be an album of dance floor bangers, but rather a collection of music that can be enjoyed anyplace, anytime, all the time.

These 'Remixes' are other artists’ interpretations of his compositions and self made vinyl samples. The tracks are mostly intended to be hard hitting, but they are also just very different. See the track list below for all artists involved in the Pretty Lights’ "A Color Map of the Sun Remixes."

Sunchase combines forces with Electrosoul System to create “Thing”, a warped and futuristic drum & bass excursion proving less is definitely more. “Kolo” enrols the unrivalled talents of Blu Mar Ten, culminating effortlessly into a blend of distilled musicality intertwined with complex and crisp drum patterns.

The infectious and funk-ridden bassline of “Think Of” keeps your ears guessing and feet moving, while “All Of Us” takes the listener on a thoughtful and meandering journey accompanied by Scoda Galina’s ethereal vocal talents. Last but by no means least is “Slowly”, charged with warming sub, inquisitive melodies and echoes of early Synkro releases on Med School circa 2010.

After a short hiatus, The Chikara Project are casually strolling back into your life, massaging your earlobes and giving you the sound you always knew you needed. For the fourth instalment, Mystic State have kindly taken the reigns for a solo EP, “Shadowlands”, which flows in the vein of the previous Chikara releases, but also delves into even deeper territory than before, drawing for the silky vocal talents of Jevon Ives, a collaborative track with Warm Communications’ ruffian Ilk, and a cryptic remix from Cosmic Bridge’s Crypticz. The duo are getting comfortable with their Chikara imprint, and have been able to fully experiment with this EP, with the tracks flowing effortlessly between autonomic, soulful, junglistic, and halftime styles.
