PHOENIX – Local band Mill’s End release “Playing the Villian” to local radio and streaming sources
     
What did you do during the COVID lockdown? Mill’s End kept busy writing and recording and have just put out their latest “Playing the Villian”. The song is a 90’s style throwback featuring a big guitar sound influenced by bands like Smashing Pumpkins and The Foo Fighters. “Villian” features intense vocals and lyrics by Jeff Bump, big guitar by Alan Clark and Geoff Butzine and Mike Eckert providing the groove. The song is available on iTunes, Amazon, and Spotify. Watch for a video soon. The band is currently performing at venues across the state and working on more new music that will be released in the coming months.

Valley music veterans, Mill’s End, return with their grunge-influenced new single, “The Spot.” Lead guitarist Alan Clark takes on lead vocals for this intense song influenced by 90’s style bands like Alice In Chains and Nirvana. The band continues to expand its musical catalog to show an ever-expanding range of styles.
	Recorded at Kube Studios in Mesa, AZ, “The Spot” features vocal parts and rhythm guitar by Jeff Bump and the always tight and intense rhythm section of bassist Geoff Butzine and drummer Mike Eckert. “The Spot” has become a fan favorite at shows, and the band is excited to share it with a wider audience. “The Spot” is now available on Spotify, iTunes, TikTok and Soundcloud.

Run And Hide

Mill’s End return with a brand-new single that deals with the ups and downs of modern life with their latest, “(Drinking Is Easy)” Living Is Hard. Lead singer Jeff Bump explains the song started as an homage to classic country drinking songs and then turned into a commentary of the difficulties people face as adults and how society often encourages drinking as a “band aid”. The lyrics describe vignettes of characters dealing with crises such as PTSD, raising a child alone and family loss. 
	Recorded at Kube Studios in Mesa, AZ. “Drinking” features the driving rhythm sections of Geoff Butzine on bass and Mike Eckert on drums. New band member, Alan Clark adds his signature guitar to the Mill’s End “big guitar” style. Also featured are keys by Ben Cortez and an incredible vocal performance by Julissa Ruth. “(Drinking Is Easy) Living Is Hard is available on iTunes, Spotify and Soundcloud. The band will continue to record with the intent of releasing at least one more single by the end of the year. You can always catch Mill’s End playing shows both in Arizona and the Southwest.

"A Peaceful Gathering" is 90's inspired groove rock tune that was inspired by the Arizona "Red for Ed" movement which gathered thousands of teachers at the State Capital to ask for higher pay. The song enourages listeners to peacefully stand up for what they believe in to affect change.

Mill’s release their latest single, “The Big Crash” an intense rocker that describes the difficulty of living with depression and anxiety. A cause the band believes needs more attention especially in this time of quarantine and social isolation. The song’s style reflects many of the band’s influences like The Smashing Pumpkins and Pearl Jam and features a “Southern Rock” styled instrumental section in the middle.
	Recorded at Kube Studios in Mesa, AZ. The song features huge 90’s era styled guitar by Alan Clark and an emotional vocal performance by lead singer, Jeff Bump. The ME rhythm section of bassist Geoff Butzine and drummer Mike Eckert ramp up the song’s intensity. “The Big Crash” has been a huge fan favorite live and now the band is eager to share it with listeners. Even though they are not performing at local venues, be sure to look for shows online through their social media channels.
	“We know this is very real for a lot of people” says Lead Singer/Guitarist Jeff Bump. “It’s important that we highlight these types of issues and we felt that this style of music would help in getting a reaction. There shouldn’t be any shame in admitting you have depression or anxiety.”
