MASSIVE SHOUT OUT TO TED NICHOLS. He put together much of the original Scooby music. it's so rich, you can hardly believe it's just stuff for ten seconds of a cartoon here or there. Besides the end of Part 1 (where I brought in a couple of other samples), this is ALL Scooby Doo samples from ONE episode.

Big, big, big shoutout to James Marceda (@NBAInjuryR3port) of the Locked on Knicks podcast. Much of the foundation of this was put together for him in cooking up a theme song, but I decided to run with some of the better rejects and make a little set for everyone's enjoyment.

Mimar Sinan's Third Musical Journey Through Hip-hop Space and Time (A Mostly Hip-hop Mix)

My first album with no samples - 100% me on the keys, layering (mostly) synths over my own beats - mostly lo-fi hiphop beats but it veers at different times towards neo-soul, neo-classical, jazz... there's even a kind of Balkan-influenced sound in one track... somber, reflective - good 'soundtrack to life' music, made in and for these 'stay-at-home' times.

Adapted from my 2016 EP, this project utilizes 100% sampled drums/percussion for this tribute to some of the best drummers I'm aware of (and some iconic drum loops).

For melody, I did a ton of sampling/mixing as well as playing various layers of synths and MIDI instruments to compliment it/tie it all together. Hope you enjoy!

Mimar Sinan is a New York City-based beatmaker. Nobody knows who he really is, and he remains enigmatic. His beats, littered about, have remained, by-and-large, elusive. Are they boom bap beats? Trap? Lo-fi? Deep House or electronic? Stop tape...? In short... Yes...?

He currently resides somewhere in Sub-terranean New York City, underneath the underground, plotting his ascent, crate-digging (collecting and rummaging through records) all day and night, and grumbling about the weather.

The Mimar's beats are beginning to emerge from the depths, for your listening pleasure. All hail the MImar!
