Every playlist contains my favorite 40 tracks of this month, they are not ranked because they are listed like I would play them in a set.

In August I had my first contact with NiQW from Finland, and his new EP with "How's That" and "Intro" totally blew my mind. Then I saw that I already knew him before with Jay Robinson's collab with him in "Right Back".
But "Intro" takes the first place this month.

Niklas Wiik aka NiQW has been a part of the Box of Cats family since the beginning of 2017. He was the 18th release on the label and since then has featured on our Litterbox compilation as well as remixing Eyes Everywhere earlier in the year. It seems like we just can’t get enough of this guy so we have a brand new EP from him containing 2 of his techno infused house jams. May we present to you the Intro EP.

‘Intro’ and ‘How’s That’ are both immersed in NiQW’s signature dark tones with his crisp yet raw sounding percussion. Both tracks really reach their pinnacle at the second drops where his synth work and suspenseful energy comes into play.
