Legowelt is the alias of Dutch producer and electronic musician Danny Wolfers. Known for his lo-fi, analog-heavy sound, Legowelt has been a prominent figure in the underground electronic music scene since the late 1990s. His music blends elements of house, techno, electro, and ambient, often characterized by dreamy melodies and gritty textures.

Hailing from The Hague, Netherlands, Legowelt gained recognition with early releases on Bunker Records and Clone. Over the years, he has released dozens of albums and EPs under various aliases, building a cult following worldwide. Beyond music, he is also known for his visual art, software synthesizer patches, and contributions to synth culture.

Legowelt remains an influential and prolific artist, celebrated for his DIY ethos and dedication to hardware-based music production.

Analogical Force welcomes back @moy for his third outing on the label. ‘Ghostware EP’ delivers four tracks that push his hybrid of braindance, acid and electro into bold new territory.

Side A opens with Kernel Panic, a pacy cut that flips between breakbeats and 4/4 drive, punctuated by TR727 whistles and percussion, before Megazone dives into chopped breaks, thick bass and a conversation between a 303 and FM-modulated 101. Together they form a high-energy pairing that refracts rave DNA into something sharper and more futuristic.

On the flip, the title track Ghostware goes widescreen with heavy bass, intricate breakbeat manipulations, the unmistakable Korg M1 piano and soaring melodic acid, all tied together by wistful pads and sudden reverbs. Voidwave closes the EP on a darker, twisted note, with slithering AFX Station basslines, constantly evolving acid, and breaks chopped into timing flips that constantly disorient the rhythm.

With Ghostware, MOY refines his sound while embracing new techniques and sharper contrasts. It’s his most progressive and fully realised work to date for Analogical Force, reaffirming both artist and label’s place at the forefront of modern braindance.

Third artist to grace us in this Clone-curated month of October, The Hague’s one-and-only analogue wizard Legowelt surfaces with a mix sprawling from esoteric proto-techno to hallucinogenic electro, via trance-infused dreamscapes, eerie pop and mystique-imbued downtempo. As the true master of the synths he is, Legowelt has us traveling far and deep into a layered multiverse of dazzling hardware stutter and iridescent machine funk out a frizzling, VHS-supported headspace. Effusively vivid and durably haunting 8-bit-informed tapestries succeed through this glitchy maze of fractured tempi and vectorial stunts, cascading seamlessly as Legowelt pulls off yet another magnetic expression of retro-laced granularity and enhanced organic synthesis. Marking the anniversary of three decades of career, Dopplereffekt debuts on Tresor Records with Metasymmetry, arriving 12 December 2025.

This latest release finds members Rudolf Klorzeiger and To-Nhan in deep inquiry in sound, contemplating structure and pattern in physics and nature resulting in a harmonious audio tessellation.

Metasymmetry itself relates to a kind of second-order reality found not in the structures of life but in the rules that govern these structures; that order exists not only in things but in the relationships among systems of order. It is a structure of structures, a logic of laws, an abstract unity embedded in the act of transformation itself.

Accordingly, the four-track EP reflects this duality. Each side opens with a piece of electronic music at its most precise and immovable: defined, kinetic, architectural. This is followed by a second composition that dissolves into a weightless, atmospheric counter-form. The shift evokes a higher symmetry: an alignment not of parts, but of principles; a sonic model of the universe’s hidden invariance.

Metasymmetry also echoes across Dopplereffekt’s extended sonic continuum; this stands as the first offering on Tresor under the Dopplereffekt name despite an association with the label and club going back to the start. In this, it becomes the source of an echo that reverberates backwards through time; its own reflection:
