So I've been playing around with this medley for a while. The interpretation is as follows: The refrain of the medley is Very Early Sunday Morning the song of the Resurrection, but it goes to different songs. As we find our life In the Midst of the Raging Sea, after we realize that he's Paid all My Debt, we await his resurrection as we say "Amen, Amen Come", finally, as we contemplate the power of His Reusurrection, we can say Trample O My Soul. With each passing phase, we return to the thought of the resurrection. 
Musically, this is a common-note-transition, and as we celebrate the fast of the Apostles, this common note is the Holy Spirit in us that draws us back to the resurrection in our struggle, in our joy, He brings us back to our Maker.
