Mbodveli is the project of Tbilisi-based DJ and Producer Leonti Kvaraia from Georgia,oriented EBM and Industrial Techno. This album is his first full-length work, inspired by the struggle against injustice and retrograde generation in the post-Soviet space. Artists representing Tbilisi's techno and underground scene: Downwell, Mova and Refresh The System contributed to the creation of the character and concept of the album.The pain recurs and the hideous bust is eaten away by rust, with guerilla outbursts and brutality as repetitive as déjà vu. No one dares to cure this madness. Every war has its heroes: some kiss their faces out of loyalty, some wear the portrait of the leader on their
cheekbones, some sit near your house and kiss you silently, some visit the drug factory to forget their inescapable weakness. Aging embryos that have not seen a ray of light sink to
the bottom of our genetic memory.

HOUND is an Industrial / EBM techno podcast channel based in Tbilisi / Georgia. The project’s main idea is to support underground culture and create the first Georgian podcast channel, with a unique VA feature. Accordingly, not only do I provide rare podcast compilations but release VA of the same artists that took part in podcast compilation as well.

The uniqueness of the podcast channel is as follows – artists record podcasts, a compilation of 4 unique and rare artists is created, who take turns to record podcasts for HOUND, and each podcast is laid out once a month, after which also launch a release by VA of the same artists.

“Uncanny Valleys” compilation series is related to the theory introduced by japanese robotitian Mori Masahiro back in 1970, referring to the paradoxical perception of the existing similarities between robots and human beings.

This second opus focuses on ‘Industrial’ music through a variety of genres and interpretations of the genres aesthetics. Opening with an infused four to the floor selection cut with a slice of power ambient, the compilation evolves into a rawer shape, with industrial, noise that embraces either nihilistic or romantic intentions.

Taking a look at music that is influenced by a genre, created in the times where the concept was created, helps us to grasp the links between the theory and music, both inspired by the development of technologies and its influences on both personal and societal aspects.

Every purchase comes with a .pdf file with the reasoning behind the volume and artists bios.
