Enerthium wasn't just currency-it bound people, enslaved them to their desires. For the first time, Xyra felt a gnawing unease. The promise of freedom felt distant, tangled in forces beyond his grasp.

Part 3: Crow

Xyra met the crow on an empty street at dusk. Its eyes gleamed with an intelligence that mirrored his own. It perched on a broken console, feathers ruffled as if mocking the city's cold, mechanical heart. The crow spoke without words, drawing him closer. It led him through forgotten alleys, showing him the city's decaying soul. Xyra saw through the crow's eyes —the desperation, the decay beneath the surface glitter. It was a warning, or perhaps an invitation. He couldn't tell. All he knew was that the crow was watching, waiting.

Xyra had seen many faces, each one a mask. In Proxima-A, no one showed their true self. The businessman with glowing implants, the street vendor with cybernetic eyes—they all hid behind personas, afraid to reveal the fragile beings beneath. As he moved through the city, Xyra realized he was no different. His hybrid nature, his intelligence-these were his masks. But beneath them was a soul, uncertain and searching. The faces of those he'd met lingered in his mind, reminders that in this world of technology and minerals, the deepest currency was still the self people tried to conceal.
