What began as a private message from a humble duo with 5 followers has now blossomed into a massive artist project. Selling out shows around the US, writing huge records with the likes of Ultra Natè, GRiZ and Kyle Watson, multiple Beatport chart topping records and now their first official EP 'Love. Death. Funk?'. We are SO proud to be able to bring this to you through Box of Cats. 

This is more than just new music to us. We have nurtured these guys since day 1 and have become best friends. Countless phone calls, a zillion emails - even a few complaints about their lack of press photos - BUT this is who they are and we wouldn't want them any other way. 

Love. Death. Funk? is exactly as you think it is. It's the start of a new relationship and the end of an old one. It's moving into a new house while saying goodbye to your home. It's arriving at the festival vs passing out at the after party. You may ask what does Funk? have to do with any of this?? Well to be completely honest, we have no idea. But our guess is that the Funk? is the glue that shticks this all together. It's the fabric between our toes and what stops us from breaking apart. The Funk? is what keeps us alive!

A very special Terrafractyl set made especially for Questival, filled with dwarfs, elves, dragons, Bards, swordplay, Rings of power even a little bit of Hypnagog every now and again (this is not actually the exact questival set, but something very close to it ;) )  After many people telling me over the years that my music was great background music for gaming, this was a bit of an attempt to represent a big epic fantasy quest through music and I relished the opportunity to try and remix some things...(!)
note: some bits of some new Unreleased terrafractyl tracks are in there, they have been trimmed to not give away too much, and are also in early draft form, so expect them to be v different on release!!

After years in the works, Toast & Jam is excited to bring you one of our favorite breaks producers... the one and only Kid Panel! His remix of Funky Feeling is exactly what we have come to expect from Kid Panel over the years. He filters in the original piano line to the first break while teasing the Funky Feeling vocal leading up to the drop, which is just downright dirty. The rest is total bass bin devastation. I'm beyond excited to announce my first compilation of original music as Sharrol Kelby. From learning to play the piano 20 years ago to cracking into Ableton Live just over 2 years ago, this has hands down been one of the most (personally) rewarding achievements of my life. 

Learning how to create music that captures several influential ideas, people, and experiences (electronically) has been an awesome challenge and I'm incredibly enthusiastic about the future of this project.
