Mind head is a new Bristol-based urban worldbeat singer-songwriter, which offers a progressive perspective on issues of the first world, whilst rocking us with a constant groove. 


Originally from Portugal, and son of an Angolan mother, Mind Head fuses many genres to create his music. As a European child, he was extremely influenced by western pop culture, particularly nineties R&B, Jazz, indietronica and synthpop. On the other hand, the African and Brazilian rhythms and melodies played a big part in his life, and helped brew this complex concoction that is ‘off A chest’.

 
His first Debut EP ‘off A chest’ – out on May 16 – is a reflection of years spent travelling and observing ‘the mess’ we live in. In this work there is a common thread – he’s telling us he won’t take bullshit no more, and neither should we. The subjects Mind Head explores are laid in romantic poems edited with contemporary sarcasm.
