The Storm was written in the aftermath of my ex-partner’s suicide attempt. It captures the helplessness and despair I felt in that moment. I tried to blend a darkwave atmosphere with the intensity of gothic rock. Despite the heavy theme, it’s a catchy and driving track. The song is emotional, haunting and is meant to resonate with listeners who find light in shadow.
