Happy birthday, Undertale.

A long time ago, there was a project dedicated to getting everyone to pitch in to cover the entire Undertale soundtrack, one person per song. Everyone was randomly assigned a number between 1 and 100, with MEGALOVANIA being reserved for a specific individual who was a pretty notable kingpin in the community at the time. Somehow, I rolled number 71, and was thus assigned the cover of "Undertale".

The cover, which was admittedly much more of a reimagining, never went public as the project never ended up getting far enough for it. I wanted to take this opportunity to finally show this cover to the world, though with a bit of a modern Toadie flair to it. Compositionally it's pretty much exactly what the cover used to sound like, it's just got better instrumentation and mixing.

I've got a lot more thoughts about... well, just about everything that's happened since this wonderful game reached me. Too much, and frankly a little too personal, to just put in the description. Instead, I've prepared and will be adding to this document.

* UNDERTALE has been around for 10 years since its release. This indie video game has changed the video game industry, positioning itself as one of the best RPG games.
* There is no one on the internet who does not know it; it has been part of many people's lives, and it was also part of others' childhoods.
* This game is very important to me, and probably to many others as well, so like every year, I bring you another song.
* I didn't want to do MEGALOVANIA or Hopes and Dreams because that's what everyone else does on these anniversaries, so I preferred to give you something original. Besides, reaching a decade is a more special occasion.
* I hope you enjoy it. I took inspiration from songs like 70cm四方の窓辺 and Mugen, one brings me nostalgic vibes, the other hope and DETERMINATION.
* Thank you UNDERTALE! Thank you Toby Fox! Don't give up, that's what this game taught us.
* (Now that I reread this, I think I have the same problem as Toby about writing as in the video game.)
