We are happy to welcome back our brother Silvahfonk from Delft for his second exclusive Bern Bass Podcast! Before becoming Silvahfonk, the young Dutchman's alias was Energy. If you don’t understand why, you’ve obviously never seen him drop tunes. His fast mixing, original selection, the way he involves the crowd with his infectious style and his never ending energy have been trademarks since day one. In 2005, he won two Dutch drum & bass awards as ‘Best Breakthrough DJ’ and ‘Best DJ’ and since 2007 he has been co-producing deep, musical and rolling drum & bass together with the respected producer and DJ Mindmapper. With releases on Demand Records and more recently on Blendits, Citrus Recordings, Fokuz Recordings, Dispatch Ltd and Critical Music (a co- production with Fre4knc), Silvahfonk relentlessly pushes his sound and a career with more than twenty years of experience. This also resulted in his first gig at the mighty Sun and Bass festival in 2015. This Junglist soldier never fails to impress, always brings it with musical edge and an endless love for the music.

Finally after 2 years I can proudly present this year mix.
A lot has happened in the past 2 years after my 2020 year mix.
I started working full-time and was unsure for a while what to do with my music. And whether I had to stop being a DJ or not.
But I am glad that thanks to the support of my loved ones and people in particular the crew of BlackOut events that I continue with passion.
I also want to thank these people through this road and the followers who continue to support me. Even though I've been to the clubs and festivals less in the past 2 years.

This years got his ups and downs. But the good thing is because of all the support i got last year by Blackout and other events that i played at. I am gratefull

My new Based Mix Series episode 13 is up for download and streaming 
This mix is based on the set that i did for Donderslag Events at ACU in Utrecht in May.. This cool and cosey  event  needs some attention so i decide to re- record  this mix,  and chanced it a little bit but still based on that set of the night.
Its a live mix on my old decks so  its not  perfect but lively including fader tricks  and still worth to join the ride. I love to challenge myself and bring something creative.

BASED on a Delft Jazz Festival Tip dnb Promo Mix 2025

Having over 30 releases out there on many different labels, soundaddict Rogier Habraken a.k.a. Mindmapper lost his status as "new-comer" long ago. Thanks to support of many keyfigures within the scene, he has laid down a solid foundation for the future. Backed up by many gigs, residencies and appearances on events, radioshows and festivals in both the Netherlands and abroad. Next to that he's co-owner of Break-Fast Audio, sound designer and mix engineer for Dutch broadcasting and has a curating duty for the online music discovery service 22tracks.com.

Coming from a background of working with bands, playing piano, double bass and electric guitar for many years and building his own studio, Mindmapper has got all the musical skills a producer might want. What started out as recording and arranging songs played by his band, evolved in a serious affection for cutting, sampling and composing electronic music. Combined with his education as an Audio Designer, Mindmapper is a musical mastermind whose style expands way beyond just Drum & Bass. 

It's hard to describe his broad spectrum of productions in few words but one can find all sort of influences ranging from techno to rock and dub to classical. His tunes and collabarations tend to explore the "boundaries" of the genre and have been spotted, not surprisingly, by a broad audience. Support comes from Loxy, Doc Scott, Hazard, Hype, Octane & DLR, D-Kay, Bailey, Fabio, Consequence, Gremlinz, June Miller amongst many others. With material forthcoming on Samurai Music, Dispatch, Eternia Music, Soundium X, Creative Wax and CX, 2013 looks bright.
