Monumental times have arrived for Steyoyoke Recordings, as they venture into unchartered waters. This new project accumulates for years of hard work and marks the release of their very first album titled ‘Equilibrium’. The Steyoyoke artists are united within a unique concept, that utilises the four classical elements of fire, air, water and earth, bringing you a creative expression that reflects a state of balance between art, music and the natural elements. Each track is an original production, however they are grouped accordingly to symbolise a particular element that represents the tracks sound and vibe. Armen Miran & Hraach bring the mystical sounds of their native country Armenia to the underground dance floor with their latest collaboration the "Inevitable EP".  Each song takes the dancer and listener to a far off distant land. We hear lush melodic deep house fused with gorgeous sounds of the santur and duduk, both traditional and classic Armenian instruments. "We wanted to spread the sacred sound of the instruments to whomever was unaware of  them until now, as it's a beautiful and meaningful part of our Armenian culture." 
For the remix we commissioned two more Armenian producers on the rise - Viken Arman & Goldcap. Fueling their unique sound with passion and pride for Armenia, the two collaborate here for the 1st time ever, and deliver us an epic 15 minute interpretation of "Inevitable Ending". The slow journey builds with intricate percussions, pausing midway to give the sacred duduk sound it's own 3 minute solo, then comes back in with a pulsating balearic groove driven by a delicate acid bass line. The drums and percussive elements harmoniously weave in and out with the duduk, elevating the listener into a peaceful hypnotic state.
 The artwork by Helia Jamali features a doorway rising up from the volcanic Ararat mountains, welcoming us into the mystical world of Armen Miran & Hraach's modern interpretation of ancient Armenian sounds.

With Moon Harbour boss Matthias Tanzmann’s latest and greatest album Momentum still making an impact on global dance floors, his label now looks to remix some key tracks from it. Getting the nod on the first of two such packages is returning favourite Andrea Oliva, plus new school stars Andhim and the legendary figures that are Josh Wink and Jesse Rose. 

Swiss tech house titan Andrea Oliva has been kicking out the jams on labels like Relief, Moon Harbour and Rejected for years. He opens things here with a turbocharged, bass-driven take on ‘Shake Shake’ that is mischievous and filled with ever more tension. When it finally gets released the 'floor is sure to explode as the drums kick once more. Ovum boss Josh Wink is a pillar of the global dance community who always comes correct, and he does so once again here with a heartwarming take on ‘Laika’ that marries incendiary hi hats with deep house drums and cosmic synth stabs. Running through it all are some classic acid sounds for that full on Wink effect.

By now Andhim are one of the most established modern tech house acts thanks to their inventive beats on labels like Get Physical. Their version of ‘Coffee Clouds’ is wonderful bleepy and melodic, with rain-like keys and globular synthesised sounds all layered over jumbled drums. It feels tribal and colourful, organic yet trippy. Last of all is the Jesse Rose, who for many years has been an ever-evolving producer, boss of Pay It Down and Made To Play, master of myriad club styles and king of the quirky groove. But, after one final album that is due soon, he will leave it all behind and head off into retirement. Before that, he comes correct on his wonky version of ‘Rybu’ with its low slung drums, curious vocals, neon chord stabs and playful and fun sense of groove all popping out of the speakers. 

All four cuts here really pack a punch and prove that Moon Harbour exactly have their finger on the pulse when it comes to fine remix talents.

At the beginning of last year I went to listen and see Isolée during his live act in Lausanne. He started that night with a really amazing tune - something so full of love and harmony, something that is definitely rare at the moment.

One week later that song was still in my mind and so I asked Rajko what it was, to which he answered: "I did a soundtrack for a skateboard movie and the track I started my live set with is a draft of it." I asked him to make me an edit to be played in my set. I’ve been playing "Dennis" for the past year in all my sets around the world and always receive a fantastic reaction from the smiling crowd.

One year later this special song called "Dennis" is ready to be played by you and the world and I'm really proud and excited to start "Xtra Tamed" with such a masterpiece! I asked one of my best friends and one of the most talented producers around, Baïkal (from Maeve and Innervisions), to work on the remix and trust me when I say that this rework has a similarly funny but long story as the original cut! Isolée vs Baikal sounds like a match made in heaven, don't ya think?

After the success of his debut EP ‘Back and Forth’, Sasch returns with the much hyped and anticipated ‘Lazy Strings’. The EP features two new tracks from the artist and they are accompanied by two well crafted remixes from Soul Button and Mario Aureo. A third bonus remix by Mario Aureo will also be available on digital release. The young Italian dj and producer is hungry to show that he has so much more to give.

Title track ‘Lazy Strings’ is a deep moving club anthem that leaves you yearning for the rush of the night. The enticing vocal sample is driven by a rumbling bassline and sent into orbit by shooting synths that rise and fall with such style and grace. Sasch doesn’t let go until you have had enough.

The first remix of the EP comes from Steyoyoke’s Soul Button. Taking a darker step with his remix of ‘Lazy Strings’ and yet still maintaining that same drive and purpose from the original, Soul Button turns up the bass for maximum pleasure.

‘Hearts and Minds’ is a devilishly endearing track crafted with the purpose of sending you into ecstasy. Climbing to reach the highest highs, though with steady patience, ‘Hearts and Minds’ teases you with seductive sample work and a swarming harmony.

Having the last dance of the night is Mario Aureo’s remix of ‘Hearts and Minds’. Mario Aureo is uncompromising with his expertly balanced remix that just keeps giving. Rich with atmosphere, sharp synth work helps plummet the inescapable groove back into the insatiable and enduring bassline.
