I wrote this instrumental song the following day of 2010's new year's eve...guess i felt... introspective. 

I'm really proud of it. I think it's the better song to know what kind of mood to expect from M.S.E., you really enter in my universe, melancholia, not necessarily sad but...well i like you to interpret each songs your way, if it can remind you one of your memory, or feeling, or anything important for you, that's exactly what I wanted. That's what I love when listening to music, you know the shivers right there thanks to the instrumental and or the lyrics but also thanks to what is happening in your head at this moment. Suddenly the music takes its importance, it makes sense for you, and will it be a smile or a tear ?

Inspired among other things by the work of Jack Kerouac and the introspective wanderings of my own life, Introspection alternates instrumental dreamy passages, sometimes dark and melancholic, with soft, enchanting vocals melody. This first intimistic album transports you in different horizons, where your mind and memories are at source of the musical interpretation. 

My first auto-product album, that I composed between 2009 and 2011, released with the french label "Musea".

Mind Split Effect is a french band who plays an alternative rock with progressive and atmospheric touches.
After Introspection (2011), first solo album by Maxime Defrancq, Vincent (bass) & Stephen (drums) Cramard joined him in January 2012, later followed by Elise on Keyboards.
We released our first Ep together in March 2013, The empty sky is my witness, for free listening and download.
