Next up in our Selections Series- 7 Years Retrospective Mix-  Mixed By Ant NebulaAnt Nebula is a Sydney-based Dj, label Dj for Mindspring Music, and Co-owner of Trimurti Records. He started his music career as a Dj in the late 90s, focusing on ambient/chillout music with the idea in mind to chill dance floors. His early influences stem from OST and early electronica sounds, such as Bola, Biosphere, and Apex Twin. He also curated compilations for Mind Spring Music in 2017 and Trimurti Records in 2020.

Welcome to Psybur Support! Your seven-track solution for the psychedelic musical experience within the audio-based human-machine sector.

Should you decide to undergo treatment, you will first need to be sure your car Bluetooth headset is working. By the end of this track, you should feel energized and technologically confident, ready to move on to a deeper meditative state in Digital Zen. During this process, you will naturally become more accustomed to multi-layered psychedelic landscapes and driving progressive bass lines. This is completely normal.

Most participants will be sufficiently prepared for deeper levels of interweaving melodic exploration by this point and should proceed to Quantum Counterpoint. This track involves the interplay of two melodies, which are in fact only a single melody, variations of which are extrapolated through a lens of genre-bending mid-tempo psy-pop.

You may find it hard to believe the distance we have traveled in only three tracks and it is common for participants to have already developed a deep sense of wellness that was somehow lacking in their life previous to receiving Psybur Support. What could possibly come next? You might have a sense that energy has been building and indeed, it has. Because now you must prepare yourself for the ultimate psy-funkadelic experience with special guest Cosmic Sidekick in Psyburnetic Symphony. Imagine Stevie Wonder doing acid, and LOVING it! Subs will flex, be careful if you’re operating heavy machinery as the urge to move your body will be strong for anyone with a pulse. In fact, if you’re not feeling anything at this point please refer back to our associates at Electronics R Us or consult your local physician, as you might outwardly appear to be alive but be dead on the inside.

Participants have reported repeating track 4. This is completely expected, repeat as many times as needed. When you are ready to move on Psybur is prepared to continue your journey to wellness as part of the comprehensive treatment strategy with A Signal Sensation. By now most patients have formed some understanding of the psyburnetic process and will indeed begin to view the world through the “psyburnetic lens”. Patterns and structures may reveal themselves amongst detailed percussion and you will recognize how pysburnetics permeates all systems of life.

Multiple studies have shown that a thoroughgoing treatment doesn’t just take you for a ride but provides lasting comfort and security that you can return to for ultimate wellness. From there Moon Frog matches the Psy-tinged Ambient opening of the comp with "Medicine Will", morphing into an evocative and emotional Dub song. Martins Garden takes over next with the Psydub driven "Qi", it's energy propelling us inward - yet outward and beyond. Wonder Nexus continues the excursion by bringing the listener deeper into a frigid Dub and Glitch landscape with his track, "Grotto", which twists and turns its melody throughout. "Destiny" from Dimmat carries on with a crisp and light touch, a Downtempo foray that quickens the pace halfway through as an atmospheric - 4/4 - Psy tune. Leading us along, compiler Twin Shape continues the common time beat set by Dimmat in his warmth-seeking track "Four Corners". A special mention goes to track 2, Construct Dust. Several years ago, Ott visited Don Brown, aka Deviceful, at his studio.while he was in town (they had been in touch for years, and it was great to finally have a proper visit for a few days). After experimenting with some gated chords, DBX compressors, Ott’s incredible bass line, and some backing percussion, a groove emerged. It was just a short construct, though, and ultimately ended up in the hard drive dustbin. Ott believed it deserved to become a full track, so here it is—even if “soon” turned into years. His original bass line is still in the intro, and the final creation stays true to it.

State Azure makes his debut Mindspring appearance with a melodic & progressive release, with wonderfully glitchy elements and deep ambiance. Hex swirls with pads and twinkling keys, while its subterranean bass pulls you in, a very hypnotic and eveloving tune. Twin Shape is first up on remix duties, slowing things down and putting a Psychill spin on the original. Magnus is up next, raising the energy levels with his signature Psytrance style - never losing the gorgeous feel that Hex exudes. Transmission is on the B-Side and keeps the EP flowing in the same sort of channel. Much more on the glitchy side with its percussion and sweet little psychedelic stabs, it features the same sort of breathtaking swells and bright plucks. The atmosphere morphs and shimmers beautifully, while the low-end rolls ever forward. Condensspur has chosen to focus on the ambient elements of Transmission and created an elongated intro with wonderful additions, such as guitar, in his remix - A great bookend to this well crafted EP.

Floating amongst carefully conjured symphonies and slowly evolving bass lies a gentle and caressing world of ambient heartscapes lovingly crafted by Atmoswaves, an atmospheric space music collaboration between two Russian composers: Artem Vislov (Deepness Dawn) and Pavel Shirshin (Cosmic Replicant). This deep and profound project is an impassioned rendition, similar, perhaps, to the melancholy beauty of a cosmonaut lying in the colorful fields of a faraway world. It is simply unearthly, a warm and fuzzy production that looks towards the Distant Horizons of ancient frequencies in the form of progressive psybient and downtempo electronica. This heavenly array is perfect for morning meditations or evening walks through the woods, and it offers quite the auditory experience.

But what are altered states of consciousness? Are they merely illusions of intoxicated mind or is there something more to it, something allowing us to visit some far more complex levels of reality than our own?

This album investigates that world on the other side of the mirror, the source of visionary inspiration for mystics, prophets, shamans and artists from all over the world and all over time.

Klaada - musician that plays in numerous bands, student at musical academy in Zagreb and psychedelic producer since the age of 16 is proud to present his second album in which he tried to create music that will bring together organic and ethnic sounds with powerful and twisted psychedelic FX that will take a listener on a journey through the world beyond the veil.

Traveling through the vast world of ideas in his ark made of thoughts, Klaada decided to create bridges in order to connect the two worlds. These bridges are made of sound, and they transport people on the other side of the mirror, connecting them with implicit order which is the base of everything that exists. Working on the dismantlement of cerebral reduction vents, Klaada creates music based on both ancient and contemporary inspiration, making a symbiosis of consonant, dissonant, organic and digital. While studying at the Academy of Music in Zagreb, he tries to find a meaning of sound itself. His opus consists out of two psychedelic downtempo albums (Breaking the Cycle, Antipodes of the Self-Conscious Mind), psytrance EP (Underground Gathering), a couple of remixes, singles, and a bunch of non released material. He is part of Sunna records from Germany and Mindspring music from the USA.

Mindspring Music presents: Slaycub - Visceral Planet [MSM102]

Slaycub's new EP with four tracks that have been in the making for well over a year; a year spent revisiting, reviving, and reinvigorating them with much love and care. These are some of his most emotional works, focusing more on the flow of tension and release rather than on technicality or pure experimentation.
The word “visceral” references deep emotion and intuition, in contrast to logic or reason. Placed next to “planet” in the title of this work, it exemplifies our Earth’s tendency to act intuitively and express its innermost fire. Its creatures are driven by instinct and are fueled by palpable, deep-rooted feeling.

~ The dream state is a part of consciousness in which we can experience emotion, often without limitations imposed by logic. “Dewdrop” is a nod to a song by Cocteau Twins, whose music reverberates through the depths of my own dreams, and whose ethereal influence is felt subtly throughout this body of work. Likewise, we are able to manifest these dreams into waking life and orchestrate our own soundtrack.

~ The title track is a convergence of our planet’s elemental emotions: its nurturing soil, mournful winds, cleansing rain, and eruptions of fire. It lives through these with vehemence, and vulnerability; both polarities are expressed in this track.

~ Our reality is built upon the fundamental fabric of space-time, which itself is not concrete, but flows, warps, and wobbles in a dance with the masses of our Universe. Earth’s mere existence creates a distortion in the geometry of this fabric.

~ Our planet rides along the grooves of the sun’s distortions. Sunlight begets all life on our planet, and is our source of light and warmth. This final track encapsulates the sparkling radiance of our star and the way its heat blankets us, and how it creates an impression on us both physically and emotionally.
