C’est comme un murmure au fond du cerveau. Des pensées parasites permanentes. Au sujet du ventre (est-ce qu’on va voir mon bourrelet avec ce t-shirt ?), des fesses (pourquoi j’ai repris du gratin dauphinois ?) ou des cuisses (ce petit paréo sera parfait pour cacher ma culotte de cheval). En effet, ça ne vole pas très haut, et on est au courant qu’il y a mieux à faire que de surveiller ses kilos. Mais le fait est que ça nous pourrit la vie, surtout si on est une femme. Les psychologues appellent ça l’anxiété corporelle : une forme de haine de soi chevillée à la cellulite et qui condamne à manger des endives. 
D’où vient cette tyrannie de la minceur ?  Pourquoi intériorise-t-on si docilement la règle sociale qui fait de la minceur une condition sine qua non de la beauté ? Alors qu’elle rend tout le monde malheureux, et provoque de graves troubles du comportement alimentaire chez 5% des adolescentes ? Et surtout, comment s’en libérer ? 

Pour ce dernier épisode avant la plage , Delphine Saltel sonde les méandres de notre rapport au corps et l’obsession contemporaine pour la taille 38. Désespérée de voir sa fille stresser sur son poids à même pas 12 ans et demi, elle part à Poitiers consulter deux chercheurs en psychologie sociale qui étudient les mécanismes de la comparaison sociale, l’exposition passive aux normes de minceur et leur impact sur la psyché féminine.  Elle croise le récit d’Eloïse, une jeune femme fascinée par l’élection de Miss France et touchée par l’anorexie, avec celui de la réalisatrice féministe Ovidie. Why don’t we understand how the female orgasm works? After years of scientific research, the male body is understood but when it comes to how women work, we are a long way behind. Why is there this gap in knowledge? 



It appears research has been hindered by the assumption that the female body works in the same way as the male body and that for women, arousal is all in the mind. There’s also a general attitude that studying sexual pleasure isn’t important and that female orgasms aren’t important to study as they serve no purpose for reproduction.



Researchers are slowly correcting these assumptions and making surprising discoveries.



We’ll take you behind the scenes to two orgasm labs to bring you the latest research on how orgasms work for women. We’ll also hear from Callista, who struggled with excruciating pain during sex for many years but was told the problem was all in her mind. Her journey to diagnosis shows how little is known, even amongst gynaecologists and doctors, about female sexual pleasure.

La sexualité étant un espace hautement culturel, on a même réussi à codifier le dérapage – il s'agit d'être explicite mais pas trop, de se dire des cochonneries mais pas trop.
