In our next podcast episode we are proud to present veteran Spanish duo, EXIUM. Composed of Valetin Corujo and Hector Sandoval based out of Asturias, Spain, they are top-notch DJs and producers who have been active for the past 15 years and managing their own label, <a href="http://www.beatport.com/label/nheoma/5943/tracks?perPage=150">Nheoma</a>, since 2004. They released their second album, <a href="http://www.residentadvisor.net/news.aspx?id=19813">A Sensible Alternative to Emotion</a>, to great acclaim on Polegroup Recordings this past summer, characterized by a slower, deeper, and more cerebral take of their sound while still carrying the melodic trademark which they are known for. In the next hour, they showcase this style in full force, mixing and layering a slew of exquisite material from the best and most current in techno today - deep, sublime, and driving; this is Exium. MTRL (Material) is an art project by Audio Engineer and Sounddesigner Lukas Weinlein, who is always been fascinated with soundscapes to which he could relate to emotionally. 
Playing various instruments for years, he started experimenting with different sounds at a young age, tapping into many different styles of music. 
This insightful journey shaped his current understanding of music and ultimately led him to the endless possibilities of hypnotic electronic music, inspired by the infinite cosmos and organic voices of nature. Having bonded with a multitude of great artists helped to refine his style and created a sphere of inspiration around him. 
His deep, experimental - and sometimes dark sounds- resonate with the audience and invites them on a trip to remember. 
The name for this specific art project was chosen because the definition of the word material, the matter from which a thing is or can be made, fits the purpose of the project very good. 
So the aim of MTRL is to create an audiovisual experience from existing or non-existing matter for open-minded brains.

MTRL (Material) 은 항상 그가 정서적으로 교감할 수 있는 사운드스케이프에 매력을 느끼는 오디오 엔지니어이자 사운드 디자이너인 Lukas Weinlein 의 프로젝트이다.
여러 다양한 악기를 수 년간 연주하며, 그는 젊은 시절 색다른 사운드들을 실험하기 시작했다.
이 통찰력 있는 여정은 음악에 대한 그의 이해도를 형성했고, 종국엔 자연의 무한한 코스모스와 목소리들에 영감을 받아 최면적인 전자음악의 무한한 가능성을 이끌어냈다. 여러 훌륭한 예술가들과 유대감을 갖게 된 것은, 그의 스타일을 다듬는 데 도움이 되었고 그는 이것을 중심으로 고유한 영역을 만들어냈다. 
그의 깊고 실험적이고 때로는 어두운 소리는 관객들에게 반향을 불러일으키고 그들을 기억을 위한 여행에 초대한다. 
이 예술 프로젝트의 명칭은 용어 Material (재료) 의 정의, ‘어떤 것이 만들어지거나 만들어질 수 있는 질료’ 라는 뜻이 프로젝트의 목적에 매우 잘 맞기 때문에 선택되었다. 
결국 MTRL 의 목적은 개방적인 사유를 위해 현존하거나 존재하지 않는 물질로부터 시청각적 경험을 창조하는 것이다.

MindTrip music, Founded by Pfirter 2006. 
Reinvented and relaunched in 2012 under the new name MindTrip.

MindTrip Music was the creation of Buenos Aires born Juan Pablo Pfirter in 2006. The digital-only label acted as a springboard for upcoming Argentinian artists and of course, Pfirter himself, introducing those talents to the rest of the world. Over the years, the fledgling label allowed Juan Pablo the ability to experiment and play with music, sounds and textures and develop his own sense of direction and focus. Collaborating and drawing influence and experience from fellow MindTrip Music artists like Jonas Kopp, Flug, Markus Suckut, Psyk and Monoloc, both the label and Pfirter grew in symbiotic proportion. But after 6 years and 48 releases, Pfirter felt the need for change.

Having released on CLR, Stockholm LTD, Stroboscopic Artefacts & Figure, Pfirter’s brand of hypnotic music has touched dancers and listeners the world over. Not only limited to the clubs, Pfirter’s productions have delved deep into the experimental side too. This is the focus and framework of the new label. 
Juan Pablo reinvented and relaunched the MindTrip imprint, showcasing the full degree of his sound. The label changed its name from MindTrip Music to
just MindTrip, releasing vinyl as well as digital utilising a bespoke artwork profile.
