MindTrip brings the first studio collaboration between Portuguese uprising talent Nørbak and Argentinian head honcho Pfirter. Artur Moreira aka Nørbak introduced himself to our MindTrip world with a contribution to the Mutable Minds series, which led to his debut EP 'Praying to Silence' in April 2020. Since then, he has rapidly evolved into an established producer with his own signature sound. After Pfirter's remix work on Artur's label Hayes, the two exchanged a few 'live takes' that led to four finished tracks that complete their first joint work: 'Life, Truth, Freedom, Fear'. This release is the final outcome of two artists coming from different generations, yet sharing the same view of the raw and forward thinking sound of Techno. Having made his name on a stellar mix for the Modular Expansion Podcast, Dying producer from Buenos Aires, Rodrigo Aguero, makes it to Philippe Petit's Knotweed label outta Chamonix! Keeping it real with a straight up four-track techno EP, Aguero sends in a watertight recipe of stretched, bent and detuned synths that flow between a classic array of '90s inspired techno drums. With some quality electro making it into the lo-fi grain of "Gate 7", the two tracks that hit hardest are the strafing atmospheres and 909 beats of both "Deux Ex Machina" and "Ciudad Incognita". For you harder, more classic yet stripped back bassline techno head straight to "The Last Chance To Survive".

For this DT:Premiere we selected the original track “Intergravity” that is an impeccable snapshot of contemporary techno. The pounding kick and prominent, throbbing bassline mean utter business as it uses subtle characteristics and spacey textures to add depth to the overall vision, yet in essence is a floor working missile of the highest measure.

Reinvented and relaunched in 2012 under the new name MindTrip.

MindTrip Music was the creation of Buenos Aires born Juan Pablo Pfirter in 2006. The digital-only label acted as a springboard for upcoming Argentinian artists and of course, Pfirter himself, introducing those talents to the rest of the world. Over the years, the fledgling label allowed Juan Pablo the ability to experiment and play with music, sounds and textures and develop his own sense of direction and focus. Collaborating and drawing influence and experience from fellow MindTrip Music artists like Jonas Kopp, Flug, Markus Suckut, Psyk and Monoloc, both the label and Pfirter grew in symbiotic proportion. But after 6 years and 48 releases, Pfirter felt the need for change.

Having released on CLR, Stockholm LTD, Stroboscopic Artefacts & Figure, Pfirter’s brand of hypnotic music has touched dancers and listeners the world over. Not only limited to the clubs, Pfirter’s productions have delved deep into the experimental side too. This is the focus and framework of the new label. 
Juan Pablo reinvented and relaunched the MindTrip imprint, showcasing the full degree of his sound. The label changed its name from MindTrip Music to
just MindTrip, releasing vinyl as well as digital utilising a bespoke artwork profile.
