3.5D² Volume 3 (VARIOUS ARTISTS)

I produced a few years back and have included it in my live set from time to time since then. It's been given a final tweak and master before uploading.

The original by MGMT is a great stomping electro pop track with a melancholy edge. Applying a harder vibe was always risky as melancholy quickly turns saccharine with electronic dance music - I think this just about treads the line between underground trance and a more commercial sound. Originally, this was a mash-up with Astrix's 'Future Music' - some elements of which are still present. But with an original bassline, synths and percussion I decided to brashly call it my own remix!

Mind Zi Records presents '3.5D²', their biggest collaborative project to date. Volume 3 features tantalising tunes from Wuji.fx, Lunicium, Wer Am I, Tom Ziolo-Hitch, 4th Sun Alliance, The Divine Underground, Mover, Luken, and BelowTheWolf, Skroppa & Keyfob.

One year after the release of the label's debut album '3.5D', an experimental multi-genre collaboration amongst Wuji.fx, Lunicium & Wer Am I, the '3.5D²' series features more tracks, more artists and more stylistic diversity. 

A genre-bending, multi-volume musical odyssey that transcends categorisation and unites artists that may have vastly differing music tastes and influences, but ultimately share the same passion for making intriguing music that expresses who they are and speaks to their audience.
