Minervuh are a DIY indie rock band that formed in Boston, Massachusetts but are now based in London, UK. The trio consists of Olly Liu (guitar), Frank Giampietro (drums), and Taylor Pollock (bass and vocals). With influences such as St. Vincent and Foo Fighters, Minervuh experiments with the sonic qualities of their instruments while singing and playing catchy melodies over top. As upbeat and captivating as their songs are, the lyrics touch on issues such as mental illness, loss, and finding happiness when fighting depression. Although they are only a trio, Liu's shoegaze guitar playing fills up any empty spaces as Giampietro holds down the rhythms and Pollock belts over the soundscape. They are a force to be reckoned with when playing live, and there is never a dull moment on stage. As newcomers to the scene, they are making their own space with their unique and edgy sound.
