“Dramatic Indie Pop…I just love them” – Vic Galloway (Radio 1)

Miniature Dinosaurs, from Stirling, were formed in Summer 2009.  Their debut single, '(I Want To Watch) Top Gear', received national airplay on Radio One, some 3 months before their first live performance.  By Summer 2010 the band had produced and released their 4-track EP 'Chatterbox'.  The most recent release, October 2010's 'Cold Shoulder' was greeted with critical acclaim from press and blogs and generated further national airplay on Radio One and 6 Music.

Branching out in late 2010, Miniature Dinosaurs received their first sync' with teen drama 'Being Victor'.  This allowed both 'Write Back' and 'Showgirl' to be heard on MTV and STV.  More good news for the band around this time was a clothing endorsement with Police, the first such venture for the fashion company.

Miniature Dinosaurs’ DIY approach has served them well.  In 2010 the band have toured Scotland and travelled around England twice, playing key venues such as Manchester’s Roadhouse and London’s Dublin Castle.  Live, the band put on an impressive show which has resulted in support slots with acclaimed acts such as Fenech-Soler, Twin Atlantic, The Xcerts and Florrie.

2011 will see the release of further material, along with more live dates throughout the country, starting with another national tour in February.

Miniature Dinosaurs are a pop/rock band from Stirling, Scotland. The band consists of Barry Maclean (vocals/guitar), Alban Dickson (bass guitar), Craig Ferrie (guitar/synth) and Sam Waller (drum kit). Critics have compared their music to the likes of David Bowie, The Killers, Pulp and Weezer.

With airplay on Radio One three months before the outfit performed their first gig, live shows have always been anticipated, especially when supporting artists such as Fenech-Soler, Twin Atlantic, Florrie and Young the Giant.

The group's latest single, 'Fight or Flight', was released with Glasgow label Electric Honey (Belle & Sebastian, Biffy Clyro, Snow Patrol). Additionally, they have a clothing endorsement with Police-883, the first of its kind by the fashion company. The band also managed to score several syncs in the MTV drama Being Victor.
