PREMIERE: Andrea Cossu - Howling Fjord [BAHN· Records]

"Oxygen" is the first joint release by Michał Wolski and Grzegorz Bojanek. It is the effect of work of two artists, whose fields of sound exploration - seemingly different and distant from each other - perfectly complement each other. Michał Wolski, on the one hand, is one of the most respected creators in the world of techno and experimental electronics, while Grzegorz Bojanek is unquestionably one of the most important Polish creators of ambient music. 

The combination of these two musicians, which resulted in the album "Oxygen", brings a multi-threaded work containing not only the deep, lush sounds of synthesizers, processed acoustic instruments, noises and field recordings, but also meditative, rhythmic pulse. Its intense presence not only organizes the sphere of sounds but also allows them to vibrate in a way that vividly engages the bodily side of musical experience. 

In the layer of unspoken content, which constitutes the background of the album's sound events, lie many hours of discussions devoted to the mountains, their majesty and boundlessness. It is to them that this nearly hour-long sonic expedition is devoted. 

Grzegorz Bojanek and Michał Wolski's musical journey has lasted almost a decade. Countless performances, during which they shared the same stage, performances as part of Warsaw Laptop Orchestra or improvisation concerts during two editions of ChoP festival in China were the testing ground for the duo's musical explorations. The effects of this joint work can be heard in their full glory on the album "Oxygen" released under the label Minicromusic Rec. operating since 2010.
