We are proud and happy to present the first release by our Cologne buddy ZIGGY KINDER. Since many years Ziggy is a close friend and has impressed with his work on labels like WARE and TIEFSCHWARZ’ imprint SOUVENIR. "FAVELA" is the generally used term for a shanty town in Brasil. Ziggy has recorded the vocals originally with Aline de Magalhaes during his Brasil-trip. This house-tune has been tested succesfully on the dancefloor and comes with great remixes by Soukie & Windish from Hamburg. The digital release also includes a remix by Deep Data mastermind René Breitbarth from Berlin.

July sees Greece’s Alex Dimou team up with vocalist Aquarius Heaven with ‘Swimming Pool’ on Hottrax featuring a remix from Moscow Records founder Archie Hamilton.  
 
Debuting on Elite Records in 2007, Alex Dimou has gone on to release on influential labels like Get Physical, Rebellion, Audiomatique and Kindisch. His deep and sultry house music has received continual support from names like M.A.N.D.Y, Maya Jane Coles and Jamie Jones, with the latter now signing him to Hottrax where Dimou follows appearances by Butane, Christian Burkhardt, Paco Wegmann, and Meat. 
 
Partnering up with Aquarius Heaven, who’s renowned for appearances on labels like Circus Company, Visionquest, Wolf + Lamb and Crosstown Rebels, ‘Swimming Pool’ kicks things off with a mysterious aesthetic utilising a thumping bassline and Heaven’s twisted vocals before the more upbeat ‘Reckoner’ demonstrates an amalgamation of synth blips, shuffled rhythms and distorted vox samples. Finishing things off, London’s Archie Hamilton presents his rework of ‘Swimming Pool’, delivering a modulated low end and resonant atmospherics to conclude the package.

Through an illustrious career, he’s presented his unique blend of uplifting productions on behemoths such as Bedrock and Suara. After his smashing remix of Budakid’s Anesthesia, we’re ecstatic to have the Irishman back on the label in full with the Mistral EP.

Mistral treats us to a simmering groover, one meant for the more pensive moments. Electro influences come into play, with a pristine acid-laden melody floating the track along. It’s a gorgeous arrangement, and a perfect accompaniment to the more energetic productions that lead the release.

After receiving global attention through his injection of warm Latin rhythms into the traditionally cold and calculated techno format, this latest effort is no exception to the rule. Opener “Evil Laff” effervesces like a lab experiment, with layers of rich sampled percussion looping, stuttering and decompressing as the track picks up steam. Motored by competing snare and hat patterns and accented by a bubbling melodic tone, the movement is measured throughout by a sinister vocal presence.
