We are thrilled to present "My Shade EP," the latest release from the incredibly talented Avidel. This minimal techno masterpiece encapsulates the deep, immersive soundscapes that Avidel is renowned for.

In addition to the original tracks, we are honored to have the becoming legend Anas M. on board as the remixer for this release. Anas M.'s remix adds a fresh perspective, infusing the tracks with his unique flair and elevating the EP to new heights.

Avidel has been a key artist on our label, contributing to previous EPs and various artists' compilations. His consistent ability to innovate and push the boundaries of minimal techno makes every release a highly anticipated event. "My Shade EP" is no exception and stands as a testament to his evolving artistry.

Between the Lines’ free series Redacted focuses on repurposing samples into dancefloor ready tracks. Featuring several residents and friends of the label, the third installment brings a more refined sound to the series with elements of minimal house, breaks, and techno across the project.

Luutzz or by his other alias “Chizama” is a passionate record collector, DJ and producer. Luutzz has been involved in the music scene for a good number of years and this year 2025 has decided to launch this exciting project to try and re-shape musical perspective both from the groove floor and behind the booth.

Justin Ton a.k.a Tonic TheOnly is a Johannesburg based artist. Bringing you sounds of deep house, dub techno, deep techno as well as minimal techno – in his own words, “I am here to keep it sexy.” This is exactly what he has always done – needles to mention the word “rookie”, Justin first started to learn the art of being a selecter in 2019 and with never looking back, he has performed with some of the best local “underground’ artists but mainly making a name for himself in the international underground scene.

Tonic TheOnly has featured on music podcats such as DEEP MVMT (London,United Kingdom), _Destruct & Selected (Berlin, Germany) T01 Radio (Johannesburg, South Africa) & Stimulus (SA) (Cape Town, South Africa). Tonic TheOnly is also host of the True Underground Sound (TUS) Podcast Series on SoundCloud which features some of the biggest names. With 8 single, 2 EP & 1 album releases to his name – curation is what you’ll find the him doing these days.

The main focus on this project for Tonic TheOnly is to show listerners that both both Deep Techno & Dub Techno is still very far from being abandoned genres. Drawing inspiration from the 2012 – 2015 Deep Tech era – he brings you the grooviest sounds with plenty hard hitting basslines and kicks that stay true to the name “Minimal Hertz”.🔊

Minimal Hertz is a Music Collective and a Music Event focussed on the underground music scene, our aim and mission is for music inclusivity both from behind the decks and on the dance floor. As the music we listen to and the equipment we use to make it develops - we are often left in a predicament and often focus too much on what the name of the style/genre we are listening to or we get stuck in a box of a certain style. 

As a result we aim to have our DJ’s & Artists we work with to curate a journey with no boundaries to the styles of music they select within the dance music scene, (Not to be confused with Open Format) From this approach we hope to have dance floors that are blended in unison motion and that are free to express themselves and DJ sets that are not limited in set durations and set times. 

In the same light of not being limited by boundaries - we do not have a fixed base as the brand is carried by the individuals associated with Minimal Hertz and exists wherever they are in the world. We hope and aim to create intimate events around the world where we feel our energy is best reciprocated. We will have a limited use “phone policy” on our floors in light of allowing people to fully express themselves. 

We hope to work with similar minded artists and venue managers/owners who share the same goal and vision we do.
