Grid Records kick off their 2024 with Contrast EP, a mesmerising collection of future-facing tracks from certified one-to-watch Plebeian. The NYC producer is quickly garnering deserved attention for his acutely detailed and explorative bass productions reminiscent of Objekt and Djrum.

Plebeian offers up four shimmering and lush dance organisms that exist in an ecosystem entirely of their own. Microscopic drum engineering coupled with flourishes of dubbed out percussion, moments of blissful beauty and infinitely oscillating synth swells, all distilled to create 4D soundscapes that will captivate and intrigue the listener - Panic is no exception to this.

For its 3rd compilation, Blue Night Jungle dives deeper into the french mental music scene. Enhancing the underground metamorphosis of a new way of conjuring trance within electronic musics, it welcomes a batch of new artists (Beatrice M., RAVL, Vanda Forte, Paul Rêve, Tampo, Orchid, NOGE, Kick21, Solma, Khey Mysterio, Cléo II) but also spare room for known figures of the label (Smogo, Drawbridge, Trois-Quarts Taxi System or Boskøw). Going from deep tribe adventures to dark DnB paths, jungle and trance experiments, it gathers this whole new "mental" scene of french parties for a long journey through the depths of unknown jungles.

Out of Step looks into industrial, mechanical sounds, some of which almost don’t qualify as “dance” music anymore. ex.sses, lloydfears, Ōtone, VCR and gillielove take you on a march where you feel like you keep tripping up.

The sound of glitchy, distorted things, being chopped up or smashed into pieces, this is what unites these 5 tracks in a various almost out of step with withthe rest of Bait’s releases.

Currently based in the French Alps, in Grenoble, @r-vdt’s musical universe lies at the crossroads of free-party, sci-fi, and fantasy. It draws cerebral landscapes with strange, dark, and distorted contours. Inspired by lysergic subcultures and new hybrid forms of electronic sound design, Ratya's sonic narratives bring ambient into dialogue with IDM, deep-techno with bass music, and mental rhythms with psychedelic patterns. Convinced of the powerful, liberating potential of introspective wandering, the artist invites us to externalize the sensitive—or how, from melancholic dread, one can reach a cathartic synthesis: a collective state of trance. This approach differs from the typical 90s Spiral Tribe aesthetic, as it carries a fresh breeze of elements infused with contemporary production.

"Selector Series EP" Vol.1

Selhrac returns to Sub-Label Yellow with the two track release titled "Clarity", bringing the moody sub filled explorations of the more jungle side of drum n bass.

The title track is based around a visit to the patriarch of the family, while firstly It was great to reconnect and this gave the opportunity to have a few peaceful moments of clarity. This experience was then channeled into what became the start of the release,

The second track is titled "Collapse" and creates a juxtaposition from the grounding of the title track. Sometimes it feels like society is on the brink of collapse, and we collectively want all of this craziness to stop.
