Mihut

Born in Romania, his world revolved around music since childhood, collecting vinyl records as well as old instruments, and starting to take piano lessons at age 7. Being 16 years old he was already roaming around the decks of Celentano beach, one of the founding places of electronic music in Romania.

His first release was on Everyday Paradise in mid-2016, followed by music made as This Moment On, a project he co-founded and with which he co-hosted on the famous Bassoradio a bi-weekly radio show, influenced by his native Romanian sound, playing groovy and uplifting sets, the bond between new and old, minimal, techno or deep house.

In 2020, he founded The Sound Collective, a group of artists that share the love for electronic music, vinyl, and good vibes and playing along with Melak, in the live electronic project H2B ( Hel2Buc ).
Nowadays you can find Mihut often playing and throwing parties in Helsinki's Hello Stranger place, already having guests like Fictiv, Asenn, Sepp, Miss I and the list will not stop here.

Valeria Croft is a Russian-born producer and DJ. She grew up in the South, but in the 2000s moved to the Northern capital, St. Petersburg, where she started playing records. She began her DJ career in a small but well-known club there. While studying business at University, she decided to continue with music.

After years of experimenting, she found her very personal style, a blend of house, funky rhythms, and techno. Valeria rose from the St.Petersburg club scene into touring in Europe and Asia. In 2013 she moved to Helsinki, where she shares a studio with other music lovers. In her current base in Helsinki, Valeria has embraced a production workflow, immersing herself in the studio. Her productions are always trippy and full of groove and texture. She continues to work on her live set, improving her skills in playing instruments and composing.

In her 15 years long DJ-route, Miia Magia has been traveling from Britpop and Nu Disco to Deep House and Techno. DJing, organizing parties, and earning residencies at the legendary Helsinki clubs such as Semifinal, DTM and mBar made her a diverse and open-minded DJ. Alongside her own club nights, she's been invited to play for all the main cities in Finland and also to Tallinn, Valencia, and Madrid. On her way, she's been privileged to support her Finnish favorites, to name a few; Roberto Rodriguez and Milla Lehto.

Living and breathing the Stockholm scene between 2015 to 2019 made her dive even more into her own sound, best described as deep and moody to sharp and groovy. While playing at the underground raves and clubs, she was rewarded for supporting her favorite artists such as Axel Boman, Benjamin Mull, Cari Lekebusch, and DJ Hell.

Moving back to her roots in Helsinki for the new decade, she focused on producing music and running her own club & podcast concept, Motto. The latest addition to that is a label, Motto Sono, run together with Mr. Barth, where her first official release, "En Route" was released in May 2020.

Jussi Uusitalo, aka Newhouse, is known as a walking encyclopedia of house music. He's a record collector and a DJ who has been in the game since the early '90s.

A couple of years ago, he ran the legendary MIND Records store in Helsinki. Nowadays, he plays regularly at local clubs such as Kaiku, Post Bar, Stidilä, etc.

Sebu started to play bit by bit in February 2020, and he has mainly played at underground parties. Last summer, he made people dance at festivals. Sebu likes to play various music genres depending on the surroundings and events. He simply loves music overall. He doesn't want to get caught in only one genre but listens to peoples' wishes regarding the sound.

Sebu is a familiar face at the underground scene also as an organizer. This time there will again be some new sounds within the theme of Minimal House and House music.

Kristik

Kristik - DJ, artist, part of the collective 'Teknopicnic' and a resident for Deepboxx (a.k.a dbxx).

Passionate listener of electronic music since a kid, he went straight up to his first rave as a teen, and immediately knew what he wanted to do with his life.
First he was helping out local promoters to make events, then he taught himself to play records and made a few mixtapes online, and making podcasts for concepts like Ensis Black/Moodytech Romania.

Eventually he started to play gigs around the 'underground' of Helsinki, gaining experience, and forming his sound. It is minimalistic, warm, sometimes raw, but always human. It leaves space for imagination and welcomes ambiguity. And always telling you a story untold, instead of mixing another big record after the other.

Naturally he was flowing his next step in to the studio, his many hypnotic and dubby productions can be found in Bandcamp, already gaining the support from guys like D I N, Hari, and Radu Mirica. Label inquiries have also received some kind of result and those releases will be heard in late 2020.

After a series of successful open-air parties called Nitkuluoto &
Nitkulaakso (=Minimal islet & Minimal Valley) during the summer of 2020, and a visit to Club Merikerho later on in the same year, the Nitkulaakso DJs continue the story in the warm coziness of the Minimal Rhythms broadcasting headquarters in East-Pasila.
SI MON, Mongi and Joona will serve grooving, stripped-down, and ass-shaking minimal house soundscapes for your pleasure for three continuous hours 6 pm - 9 pm (EEST).
