The following episode is the first mix in my new series BATH BUILDING SESSIONS - we know Bristol's got bass, but has it got rhythm? Guest mixes, new tracks, a bit of live programming, interviews... the form is fluid. 

This first mix is recorded by yours truly, so please excuse some sausage finger moments or some questionable selections - I'm rustier than a pirate's ford transit.

A rather eclectic blend of rhythms and tempos from the fine folks over in the 313 and beyond - there has to be something in the water there - what fine musicians.

Interesting Results hails not from Rotterdam but that other place below sea level: New Orleans. As a lifelong lover of electro (and discordant noises in general) this playlist was thoughtfully curated from some of her favorite songs lately. She spent her teenage years exchanging mix tapes and CDs with friends and has been DJing on and off for over two decades starting with her local college radio station KLSU-FM where she co-hosted an electronic and experimental music show called the Kitchen Sink for three years. Her transition from vinyl to digital occurred only more recently though she has no plans to part with her record collection! While she is a high school teacher by day and a selector at heart, it is her love of dancing that most influenced her shift to DJing in club environments and the dancefloor is often where you’ll find her. Even still, she’s constantly scouring everywhere and anywhere for new tracks with the same fervor that a research scientist devotes time to their own field of study. While the electronic music scene in New Orleans might be small, it is quite special and steadily growing; here’s to hoping this mix might catch the attention of some of her favorite acts and help to bring them here! More than happy to share the second Hyperborea session, featuring guest Rafael Anton Irisarri.  An artist whose work is a deep influence and has helped calm our souls with his art so many times.

@irisarri shares a carefully assembled selection of works, spanning modern classical, ambient, and deeply immersive soundscapes.  The mix drifts across melancholic strings, minimal piano, subtle vocal textures, and layers of noise, inviting space for reflection and deep listening.

[PIRANHA SIBERIA DUB] is proud to present its 77th release. A soundtrack for a dystopia that no one ever wrote. K-Joshua (@dj-joshua) from Setúbal transmits into the ether Opposite Falls EP — nine audio fragments from a parallel chronicle. This is not just dub techno. This is a memory of a world where falling is a form of ascent. There are falls that lead you upward. There is sweetness that tastes bitter. There is music that doesn't echo in the ears, but in the spaces between thoughts. All of this — Opposite Falls EP by K-Joshua — is a new coil in the paradoxical spiral of [PIRANHA SIBERIA DUB].

Here, sound flows like water against the current. It climbs the slopes of the mind, skimming the familiar, revealing the impossible. Five original narratives:

Hidden in the sleeves of this record are four alchemists:

:::Protyv (@protyv) splits the “Fall” into two beams of light: one cuts through concrete, the other dances on the surface of rain.
:::Jonah van der Hout (@jonahvanderhout) brings us "Absolute Uncertainty" — like a code left behind by a civilization that no longer exists.

Opposite Falls EP by K-Joshua is a space built from sound — like the seaside streets of Setúbal, in the half-shade of old facades and salty winds. Each track invites you into a room with its own acoustics. In one — the whisper of water rushing upward. In another — concrete vibrating with the rhythm of ancient techno archaeology. And somewhere in between — silence where absolute uncertainty hides. This release doesn't seek logic. It lives in between. Between architecture and nature. Between sweetness and bitterness.
