DJ HISTORY:  In 1995 John was playing records on Pirate Radio Stations and fine tuning his turntable skills locally at "The Music Factory", in Sheffield. 

INSPIRATION: Electronic Music - LTJ Bukem, The Black Dog, B12, Tangerine Dream, Nightmares On Wax, The Forgemasters, LFO and the sound of early Warp Records.

 Welcome to the Transmissions mix series, featuring sets recorded at our parties at FOLD. 

For our opening mix, we’re delighted to share a recent Steam Room session with the Bangkok-based selector and producer Sunju Hargun. 

For two hours, he delivered a masterclass of immersive, deep and psychedelic techno. And true to style, the set is a seamless flow of intricate rhythms and subtly shifting textures, shadowy grooves and pulsating basslines.  

This mix was mastered in the Area52 Studio.

We’re opening our new mixtape series Umwege — a dedication to the detours, connections, and encounters that shaped a year spent traveling through Germany’s dance music landscape.

For the first edition, we’re joined by TILS (@tils303), an upcoming artist from Haan, a small city between Düsseldorf and Wuppertal. Recently, he has been making a name for himself in NRW’s dance music scene with his DJ sets and music productions. His debut release just landed on Victor’s imprint Magic Power, marking the beginning of a promising journey.
