This month, we welcome the extraordinary techno DJ and Producer,  https://soundcloud.com/arnaudletexier who has been DJing since the beginning of the 90s.

Arnaud currently manages techno label Children Of Tomorrow (along with Emmanuel Ternois) and all techno fans will be aware of the consistent quality output of this great label.

Arnaud (and British DJ James Warren) founded the Safari Electronique label back in 2005 and was involved in other labels prior to that time.

He hosts a monthly techno show on Maxximum Radio called Global Techno - these are available on his Soundcloud page.

Personally, I have been a big fan of Arnaud's productions for many years and most recently been playing tracks from his Split ep on Children of Tomorrow (with Antonio De Angelis) and his brilliant Additive ep on Warg.

Since 2013, Arnaud and Antonio De Angelis produce music under the Detect Audio’s alias.

He has also released tracks on Soma, Cocoon, Dead Cert, Affin, R3volution,Black Codes Experiments, Propaganda Moscow, Connwax and Symbolism to name but a few, along with his own labels.

Surreal East is the musical project of an artist who has been producing since 2011. With a background of experimenting across numerous genres like dark ambient, Cinematic Scores (OSTs for Movie and Video Game projects), trip-hop, breakbeat, post-rock, techno, doomcore, orchestrations and etc. the project is known for its ability to create deeply atmospheric, cold and immersive soundscapes. 

Surreal East's music is distinguished by its cinematic elements and an unpredictable dramaturgy, which adds an intriguing layer to every track. 

During the pandemic, Surreal East ventured into DJing and started perfoming with the mix of dark ambient, industrial drum&bass, crossbreed and hardcore. Then completly went into techno,
combining a passion for energetic beats with deep, cold atmospheric, mind-blending melodies.

By 2023, the artist had begun perfoming DJ sets alongside influential figures in the scene, such as Oguz, 6ejou, Parfait, Rouge, Skryption, In Verruf and Gabrielle Rites, the founder of the hard techno label and event series "INNERGATE".

Blending strong techno rhythms with deep atmospheric, cinematic and ritual mood, Surreal East's DJ sets have become a frequent feature at major events withing the hard techno community.

Dilemma Podcast 154 Hakkon from Kreuzlingen (Switzerland).
Hakkon was born in La Rioja (Spain) in August 1991. Since his childhood, he was attracted by electronic music and always had the dream of becoming a DJ.

In 2010, he started his career in the electronic scene, with the firm intention of becoming a leading professional. In 2013, he took his first steps in the clubs, and with effort and dedication he has been building a unique and varied musical repertoire in his sessions. His carefully crafted performances take the listener on a continuous journey of dark and hard-hitting techno, creating an exceptional dynamic with his 2 and 3-deck sets.

His most notable influences include old school artists such as Ben Sims, Truncate, Mark Broom, Robert Hood, Cristian Varela, Jeff Mills, Surgeon, Oscar Mulero and James Ruskin.

In 2022, Hakkon joined the Plus One collective, sharing with leading artists from the world scene.

On a production level, he has made his mark in countries such as Argentina, Colombia, Spain, Amsterdam and Chile, and has worked with labels such as Unterwelt, Parallel Thoughts, Dissolved Mind, Error in the System, The Office, Aoum, Habitat Musical, Kobold, Concepto Hipnótico, Residen7Alien, Donker, Ethnic Meeting, Asymmetrical, Fonio, Raverground, Exodus, Volk, DZB, Simplecoding, Alchemical Mind, Pure Nature, Arido Records and Audio Alert. 

Hakkon is also a member of Alchemical Minds Records, a label dedicated to preserving the underground essence of electronic music, prioritising quality over quantity.

Echoføn is the project of Detroit producers and Blank Code co-founders Chad Parraghi and Corbin Davis. Their music pulls from the roots of Detroit techno while folding in the energy of drum & bass and the complexity of polyrhythms, giving their tracks a sound that feels both raw and forward-looking.

Through their work with Blank Code, Parraghi and Davis have long been part of Detroit’s underground, building spaces for artists and pushing new ideas into the scene. Echoføn is a natural extension of that—two voices combining into something new, but still grounded in the city that shaped them.

Their first release, the Empty Space EP on Modern Relics Records, has already picked up support from artists like Polygonia, Kangding Ray, and Forest on Stasys, marking an exciting start for what’s ahead.

Amidst screens, so many screens, this album is a journey through magnified, mirrored universes, where the hyperreal surrounds us. We are haunted by magnetic noise, while multiverse plots and virtualized Renaissance paintings (or “Nazi paintings”) vie for our attention.
In this complex landscape, we find ourselves in an open field where 10,000 beings incessantly discuss points, flaws, races, knots. The confusion is such that often only emptiness remains, invading solitude, questioning: Which one will I be?
This is the search for a route. The path is short, hurried with calm, avoiding noise and reevaluating positions. The pen moves quietly to find meaning, even when only zero remains.
The album proposes retracing routes and paths: from digital to parchment, in an attempt to keep proportions and reevaluate positions and find the soul among what is subtext, spatial note. An exploration of the noble human, the poor nightcloth in times of resounding atrocious words and damp weights and measures.
