For the occasion, Mann delivers a riveting hour-long mix that, much like his album, floats through a wave of emotions made for mid-week retrospective after-hours.

EPM Podcast 169 comes from DJ and modular legend Freddy Fresh. To say the Minneapolis born and based Freddy Fresh has history is a somewhat understatement. His first studio recording was released on Boogie Down Productions, with Fresh remixing a track for 'The Man & His Music Dedication' album for Scott La Rock & KRS- One, and he has since recorded for over 100 independent record labels, including major labels Sony UK, Virgin, BMG UK and Harthouse Germany and is also founder of the record labels Howlin' Records, Electric Music Foundation, Analog and Sockett. Here the sonic alchemist hits us with a hybrid live modular & DJ set as he drops a slew of unreleased mixes, edits and remixes woven together with Fred’s own modular synthesis.

Freddy has shared stages with artist such as Bjork, Daft Punk, Bob Dylan, Eminem, Metallica, Blink 182, Violent Femmes, Grandmaster Flash and has remixed songs for Delakota, Tito Puente, Gus Gus, KRS1, Eminem, Heaven 17 amongst others. He has performed over 200 radio shows worldwide, has appeared on over 25 worldwide music television programs, has produced the famed Essential Mix for BBC1, as well as several Ministry of Sound sessions, hosted the late John Peel's sessions twice on BBC as well as Annie Nightingale's programme. He is also the author of The Rap Records 1st and 2nd Editions and winner of the ARSC Journalism Award.

On 29 September, Freddy returns with the multi-dimensional, genre-defying album ’35 Years of Music’ on EPM Music. On the new album Freddy showcases his myriad styles and genre-hopping sensibilities with his innate encyclopaedic music knowledge. This man simply can’t be tied to one style for too long and his appetite to try new forms means that the new album takes on electro, drum n bass, hip-hop, house, downtempo and IDM within 17 expansive tracks. As the late great Andrew Weatherall declared, ‘that man knows how to make electro!’
