It’s been almost a decade since the Bosnian Techno-House heavyweight Sinisa Tamamovic made his Yoshitoshi debut with his signature dark and high-energy sound. After five releases (and two remixes), Tamamovic is back on Yoshi with arguably his best work yet, the Hypnotised EP.

The second track of the EP 'Drop.' ‘Drop’ features trance-inducing bass synths that feel like you are floating in the depths of the ocean. The track is a lesson in finely crafted grooves with impeccable sound design.

It’s been two years since our Sinisa Tamamovic last made an appearence on SCI+TEC with his Dirty Business EP. We’re excited to welcome him back as he returns, with what we feel, is his finest work to date. 

Fresh from a fine double-header on Sharam’s Yoshitoshi imprint, our Bosnian brethren serves us a triple treat in the form of his Bad Girl EP. Leading the release is the title track. A jacking techno hussle with an addictive bouncing bass groove. 

Old School rolls out its earth-rumbling bassline and angelic drops before Waiting For Sunrise closes the ep with its thumping metronomic beats, dancing keys and radiant strings.

Boris brings the heat with his dark 'Your Mind' a track that will instantly have you moving in the late night hours. Every raver has their sunrise story. It usually takes place around 6 AM, after dancing all night, when the first rays of light usher in a new musical energy, something wild and magical. It’s the kind of moment people romanticize for years, even decades after. Such was the desired effect of Luzon’s 2002 classic Manila Sunrise. The tune contains a raw, tribal energy that few others can claim. Drawing influence from the Goa scene, it’s twirling pads and majestic vocal made it an instant progressive house staple that redefined the genre. We’re proud to bring back this insatiable classic for our fifteenth Yoshitoshi Classic remix pack, with contributions from three of today’s finest producers — label owner Sharam, Swiss studio ace Khainz, and New York techno legend Boris.

Sharam’s remix adds some modern flare to the original's progressive nature. He injects some dark, drum n’ bass-inspired sounds, a catchy new melody, and a beautiful, pad-and-vocal driven breakdown that transports listeners and club-goers to another dimension. Khainz makes his Yoshitoshi debut with a remix that boasts a myriad of stabs, effects, and other synth wizardry over a driving, tech house groove. His monstrous builds give away to exhilarating, unapologetic release. Finally, Boris transforms the track into a percussion-driven monstrosity that smacks of the classic New York 90's techno sound. The mix itself is built around banging drums and heavy bass, while the original’s delicate vocal contrasts the brutal nature of his remix, creating a powerful sonic dichotomy.  As usual, we have included a remaster of the timeless original mix to complete this package.  Enjoy.

Amsterdam’s Robin Fett is making all of the right moves in all of the right places and brings his magic back to Loot Recordings for his third release that includes classy remixes by Sascha Dive and Markus Mehta.

The first cut ‘Studio Talk’ emanates pure energy with crisp, punchy drums all wrapped around a thick, warm bass line. The tough groove chugs along, giving it necessary boom for the clubs, and is layered with trippy conversation and moments of smashing sounds that lends the right amount of chaos to make it stand out.

Sascha Dive, one of Germany’s purveyors of all things deep, also returns to the label for a mesmerizing eight minutes of deeper house grooves. His interpretation is structured with stuttering, warm key hits and rising synths where repetition is the trick that creates the magic.

Teaming up with Timothy, Fett’s ‘Alias’ is a stripped back affair of techier house with a pounding rhythm and energetic arrangement of builds and breaks. On remix duty is Munich’s maestro Markus Mehta, who turns in a choppy, modular version that’s an electronic soul symphony. Loaded with playful stabs and a lock tight arrangement of hats and drums, this one is for the robots on the dance floor.
