‘Glutes’ is peak-time material without being overly fast or chaotic, the energy instead coming from the transportive arrangement and emotive melodic content. The same can be said for Bäumel’s ‘Surge’ on Kompakt, an anthem in the sets of Tale Of Us last year which led to this release.

The title track rises and falls, surging with wide-sweeping synth notes and a steady rhythm to anchor the waves. An infectious refrain pulls you further in and, right on cue, the kick drum continues to beat the sweet spot. ‘Engage’ is filled with similarly subtle details, uplifting arpeggios and atmospheric reverb. Half-way through the melody bursts into life, shining brightly through the haze and creating one of those moments of release that make the Afterlife sound work so well on a dancefloor.

We are playing Ed’s music for quite a long time now. 'Silver Walks' on Maeve might have been our favorite record of 2016. We never met in person though, until we played together at the Block in Tel Aviv this spring. We had a brief but nice conversation and stayed in contact after that. So the idea came up to do something together. The result is this wonderful mini album… four club tracks and three interludes, each creating different moments and vibes for the dancefloor. 

'Festnetz' is Ed’s vision of modern Acid House; trippy, electronic, Acid without a 303. 'Severance' is the late night tip for us. What depth this track has. It demonstrates the contrast between darkness and light perfectly!

'Rain' has been tried and tested several times at Panorama Bar and the Block Tel Aviv - definitely a secret weapon for Ed and for us. 'Inner Senser' is the perfect sunset record, or also for the early morning. Beautiful, long and continuous… from heartache to euphoria!

Release Info: 
“Fosc” is a track that arises from my fascination for Bugge Wesseltoft’s music. I really like his compositional work; the way he inserts darkness with flashing lights and bittersweet notes, Bugge is able to touch your heart and soul. I caught that inspiration but bringing it to my own ground, a more Techno sound.
 
“Laberinto” is quite difficult to describe, it is a mishmash of influences in which everyone could perceive my sometimes passion for organic sounds. This cut was originally composed while improvising with the synthesizer and it is fully inspired by classic horror films.
 
Both are very different from each other, at the same time are tracks that complement each other very well. There is an important balance between layering synths with more acoustic sounds. I have tried to build on this EP a 'glue' to stick sounds and feelings together. “Fosc” and “Laberinto” are slow-cooked compositions, music pieces stimulated by a personal maturation and evolutionary growth as a producer given by years of experience.

D-Nox & Beckers are back on JEUDI with their 2nd contribution to the label. Enough is said about these two well establish legends of the underground with wide spanning careers established since the 90s.Moreover we added another grand seigneur of the house and techno scene. The french wizard Sebastien Leger signed responsible for the remix duties. D-Nox & Beckers Disorder is maxing out the simple idea of one odd shifting arp motive rocking the whole track. Strange Days is a solo track of Frank Beckers. We were hooked by the psychodelic ambience of the tune at once. Beckers showing of his mastership of creating weird and trippy arp line tunes combined with undeniable dancability. Sebastien Leger remix of Disorder is playing creatively with the dominant main motive mangeling it straightening it and showing a beautiful new view on the original with a strong affection for the dance floor. A diversified collection of well experienced works we are very keen to present.
