Lefrenk debuts on Tribal Pulse with a gritty breakbeat single that also includes remixes by Homma Honganji and Hockins.

Based in A Coruña, Lefrenk is a Spanish artist whose style switches between techno and breakbeat. This is his first time working with Boom Merchant's record label Tribal Pulse. He joins the imprint after releasing music through other respected outlets such as CMND CTRL, and his own imprints Fanzine, Deep Different & Knerfel.

On remix duty, Homma Honganji is an eclectic techno artist from Japan who features regularly on Tribal Pulse, but his music can also be heard on other imprints ranging from Dolma Red to Rawsery.

Providing two remix versions, Hockins is a Ukranian artist who is no stranger to Tribal Pulse. He has a broken beat style that incorporates hardcore, bassline and UK garage. He is an accomplished producer who has also worked with other respected imprints such as Elektroshok, Banana Club, and 83.

"Drift" is the solo original track on the release. It has crunching drums sequenced into a bumping groove, with breakbeat rhythms underscored by a thickset bassline, and sweeping pads creating a deep atmosphere. Homma Honganji switches the tempo and uses a 4/4 kick pattern that's complemented by a bleeping melody line. Hockins' remix refines the drums with a clean-cut breakbeat, which allows space for a more prominent bassline and a shuffling melody. Hockins also provides a Breaks Remix which is a grimey version with heavy snare hits adding a jerk to the groove.
