The first in a series of 10” from the UK electro/breaks iconic, volume 1 of Sonicus Croniclus features two direct and blunted dancefloor gems. The spooky stabs and coarse bassline on ‘Unsaid’ recall a memorable dance in the rain at Houghton. ‘Born In The USB’ is our pick, with its wobbling synths over a badass, low slung electro beat. The artwork on the label was made by plasticine, yes plasticine! Let's play.

Opening with the sub heavy grooves of Torres Vedras 8am, Temudo goes head first with swinging rhythms and razor sharp percussion. Calmakira is packed by hard and driving attitude before the low swung and broken beats of Deserve It take this in a different direction. Closing out, Look Down Say Nothing, Temudo tantalises with another crafty and hypnotising groove.

Portuguese Techno maestro Temudo is back once again on Soma Records with his latest EP, Not The End But A Change. A storming start to the year on Soma saw the young producer gaining huge plaudits for his music. His signature tripped out and driving sound is once again worked in with great attention to detail as 4 up tempo and hypnotic drive this latest release. 

Title track Not The End But a Change is a perfect example of why Temudo’s sound has become so sought after. His cleverly worked rhythms and sound design weave intricate patterns throughout the track and take on new life with every drop. The Beholder continues the hypnotic theme taking things a little deeper with wide, sweeping FX and subtle percussion driving an infectious groove. Self-centerd has a darker, edgier tone with pulsing sub bass, tweaked out percussive elements and anxiety inducing drones sending you over the precipice. Temudo closes out the EP with all guns blazing as Summaries dishes out machine gun like hit hats & punishing rhythms; made with minimalism in mind but delivered with maximal effect.

I don't need to say much about Neil. My favourite producer, I play the snot out of his tunes. All of them, not just the Techno, not just the rave-step. Any musical adventure he sets himself to I enjoy. That bass and bleep always shines through somehow. What's he up to next? Less of the same and more of the other? Time will tell. Get in.

To celebrate 500 episodes of Bleep Radio...

In 2003 I began streaming live via Livesets dot com. Over the years the number of annually archived shows has always fluctuated, but eventually it appears 500 has arrived. Sure the actual number of streams is probably triple that or more, but that's harder to celebrate.

This 4x12" Boxed Set represents the artists whose music I play the most on Bleep Radio. Literally and objectively played the most. I'm a big number crunching statistics nerd and have trended my own track-lists for years as many of you know. As a Canadian, far removed from where the music I like shines the brightest I consider myself very fortunate to have been able to meet with and play alongside a lot of these folks in person and not just via the stream.

Bleep Radio is expected to hit show 500 on May 14th which is when --if all things align-- this release will be ready. The 500th show will consist of a mix of all of the tracks on this release by myself, plus...guests?

This release is isn't just a milestone, it's an open love letter to all of you whose music I play and will continue to play and support. Keep it wonky folks.
