Elite Athlete - Californian Rites EP

Robbie Akbal is back with a brand new single on his own eponymously titled label. Produced alongside Veronika Fleyta from Russia, it comes with magical remixes from Sascha Dive and Argenis Brito , and proves that the Barcelona based Mexican is a true deep house don.
German house master and cultured Deep Vibes label boss Sascha Dive delivers his Summer Deep Dub and is even more cavernous, dreamy and spaced out with its lulling hits, serene and soft synth lines and overall air of heady house majesty.
Next to step up is Argenis Brito, a Venezuelan with plenty of formal musical training under his belt as well as a fine discography that takes in essential EPs and LPs on labels like Cadenza, Mobilee and Get Physical. His version is an abstracted affair with plenty of minimal ideals, synthetic sound designs and waify grooves and melodies all floating and drifting by, taking you with them as they go.

James Dexter (@jamesdexter)has been incredibly prolific over the last few years, with numerous taste-making labels showcasing his ear for refined, dynamic house music.
 
With his first release on the Poker Flat Wax series, the young Brit drops three new mission statements from the underground, each unified by a slick production sensibility and irresistible feel for groove.
 
Voices is a deep bomb - a shuffling, kinetic rhythm with oceans of space for subtle melodic elements and textures. Spread out over eight and a half minutes, this is one to get lost to.
 
Point Blank’s deep pads and detuned kick drum reference Detroit's classic house sound, the raw drums and vocal snippets adding a truly basement vibe. 

Area 51 is another atmospheric late night jam, with a bumping rhythm track and subtle pad washes - stripped down and weaponised for the serious dancers.

Oculus is one of the titans of the Icelandic techno scene and has been one of its key foundations for over a decade. His live shows have captivated the audience with his exemplarary mixture of deep, innovative and hypnotic techno. His productions skills are unquestionable and we‘re excited to bring you four techno anthems ready to conquer the late night dancefloors.    

Nostalgia is a nod to the older days. Subtle blend of hypnotic mysticism and Detroit-style techno – a instant afterhours anthem! Rydgad is a handy tool for the DJs who love to throw a little swag to their crowd. Its minimal, but still offers a lot of little tricks to make the room work. Morph gets dark and twisted - with Oculus‘s hypnotic voice reassuring the listener in his native tongue that the he is the all-seeing eye of the Icelandic techno scene. The EP ends with the minimalistic mind-twister of „Flod“ – completing the first odyssey of Æ Recordings LTD.

We have some very exciting news to share with you. Greyscale is launching a new series for its label and its named the Exposure Series! We are happy to say that many of these Exposure releases will be released on vinyl as well. To debut this new endeavour we have a four track compilation called "Radiant Energy". Marco Cassanelli is the first artist and his track 'Camden Town' has a pure classic dub techno sound to it. Long delayed chords lull you into a peaceful mid-set trance while the beat is sure to move your body. Sibling's 'Valhalla' rises from the depths with a fantastic bassline and metallic spheres drenched in echo. A heady and busy track that really makes you take notice.
