Denys Sadchykov aka Orbit, has long been one of Ukraine’s most consistent DJs and producers. A vital figure in the country’s underground scene, he’s arguably best known for his work at AIMED, where alongside the likes of CHEISE he runs one of his country’s most vital labels. He is, by all intents and purposes, an influential guy too: more than a few DJs in our series namechecked him as being both highly influential - and a great guy to boot. With all this in mind, we’re delighted to host him on our podcast series. A regular at influential Kiev club Closer (where he recently played alongside another favourite of ours, Boris Werner), it’s a real privilege to welcome him to the mix series.

The Ukraine Mix Series... with Orbit

We are delighted to welcome Berna to the Animism podcast series. 

Born and breed in Gran Canaria, Berna has been formulated to seek and care for underground music, building over 15 years its own relevance as one of the key figures in the electronic scene of the Spanish island with residencies at the local Velvet, Rebel and Mood clubs.

Merging a unique flair and methodical ear, Berna’ sophisticated, effective and dynamic sets are deeply marked from timeless house to the very finest of micro, acid and breakbeat. 

As well as an experienced selector, Berna has released colorful remixes for Warm Keys EP and Reverse EP, altogether with his own production, the sensorial and striking eponymous Dipstick EP, combining groovy notes to a deep house imprint.

His friendships in the island and support around the world have brought around him an authentic communit of music lovers. In 2008, he joins Javier Carballo to
create Underyourseat, record label and event agency, proving the worth of bringing international DJs to the island while supporting the local scene with underground music events such as the Soundgardens, MTRC and more.

Since 2017, Berna expands his artistic horizons discovering outer cities like Barcelona, London and Berlin. He has now been living in the UK capital for few years, participating in the local raves and parties.

Berna keeps in the lookout for spine-tingling sounds as well as those flickering, meaningful experiences in the underground scene while he continues building his
trajectory as a DJ and music producer.

BIO: Bryce es un DJ y productor Peruano con más de 10 años de carrera. Comenzo pinchando en fiestas subterráneas para luego pasar a mezclar en algunas de las mejores fiestas de la ciudad. 

Bryce ha compartido cabina con Djs internacionales de la talla de Dan Andrei, Cabbane, Zendid, Herodot y Sammy Dee entre muchos otros. También es conocido por tener muy buenos b2bs con otros respetados Djs de la escena local. 

Con el tiempo Bryce fue plasmando un sonido propio de carácter profundo, tanto con sus sets como con sus producciones, rondando entre los géneros del House, techno,  minimal, Dub Techno y Deep House .

He was born and raised in a village in Mantova, later moving to Milan where he also fell in love with electronic music. During the time he spent abroad, living in other european hotspots for electronic music, he developed his DJ-ing skills and found musical style.

Kerouac shows absolutely no signs of slowing down any time soon and with plenty more planned for the future, there’s much to be excited about.

He moved to the UK in 2019 with the idea of expanding his musical knowledge outside of the islands. Oliver set himself firmly in the Brighton underground scene for a few years playing for us and parties including Alter Hour, Stand Up and Leftovers.

Free Shelter invites Edinburghs biggest collecta, calmest selecta;   @dablojenks, for their 39th guest mix in their Free Shelter Invites series. 

You like techy house? Nugetty beats? Yeah thought so... then you most likely have stumbled upon the highly rated instagram profile "Romanian Bits". Dablo, who steps up on the plate this month, founded this profile which then quickly transformed to the club RMN.BTS and record label Lemon Herb Records. Safe to say we're in good hands this time aroun, yeh? 

Having been introduced to music at a young age, he found himself immersed in the house music subculture. Following seasons in Ibiza and religiously attending festivals such as Sunwaves and
Houghton, Dale was able to broaden his music taste and develop a versatility for exploring new music and scenes with his own music.
Dale has supported the likes of Anthea, Voigtmann, Silverlining, Reiss, Subb-an, Lamache & Per Hammar to name a few (quite the company ay?). 

Working through the different shapes of tech and deep house, with punching and rolling sounds, this mix is perffffect for the colder and darker weathers that's hitting us now. Quite the moodsetter if you will. 

Seeing as 2023 has seen all of the collective projects grow massively for Dablo and his partners, with events around the UK and beyond, we're happy to have him join the series before it's too late. Buckle up for this ride!
