Travelling Show is a cynical snapshot of the transient ‘scene’ in Auckland. Harmonies and a jangling twelve string form the bedrock of a mid-sixties sound that is braced against a wicked baseline. The simple sentiment of the song is achingly hollow, reflective of the last few hours of the night.

Silver Cigarette Case is the first single from Mini Simmons sophomore album. It pokes fun at the sheep-like nature of trends, using throwaway pop-culture references from the 90s/00s era.
The song illustrates a marked progression in stylistic experimentation for the band, including the use of backwards recording, strings, elevation of the organ and a female vocal.
Notable influences in the writing and recording of the track span from Brian Jonestown Massacre and Lou Reed, to The Beatles ‘Revolver’ and Iggy Pop’s ‘Lust For Life’.
