I chose to offer these two covers as a free download to thank everyone who supported me since I started music. It was a great pleasure to work again with Jaana Palonen and her heavenly voice, as well as Sébastien Giusti and his cello. 

Jonsi And Alex is the ambient project of Jón Þór Birgisson (singer of the icelandic band Sigur Rós) and Alex Somers. Their influence was considerable on my last album "By The Third Sea". This is the original version of the song "Indian Summer" : www.youtube.com/watch?v=XgP5Q9vZal8 

Lisa Germano is a fabulous, pure and rare artist. Talented multi-instrumentalist, she has worked with the greater musicians (Simple Minds, Yann Tiersen, Philip Selway, Johnny Marr ...) and has significantly changed the way I perceive music. She lives outside the "music business" for many years and every album is a masterpiece made ​​with his heart and soul. Following nearly three years of silence, FatCat’s 130701 imprint is reactivated, with several new signings lined up ahead of next year’s fifteenth anniversary of the label that played a pioneering role in the development of today’s vibrant post-classical scene.

The first of these signings, Dmitry Evgrafov is a hugely talented young Moscow-based pianist/ composer/ multi-instrumentalist. Having studied Sound Design in Moscow, Dmitry’s music blends intimate piano parts with delicately evocative string arrangements and rich electronics, bringing to mind the work of contemporary artists such as David Wenngren, Goldmund or Nils Frahm. ‘Collage’ is a collection of material drawn from disparate origins, times and locations – all carefully pieced together to form a cohesive whole. Far greater than the sum of its parts, ‘Collage’ is a beautifully composed, bold and broad-sweeping album that reveals a big step forward for a young and ambitious artist whom we are certain has a very bright future ahead.

Fluid Radio have described Dmitry as “…a prodigious young talent hailing from Moscow, who imparts into his music a maturity which seems grounded by practice far beyond his years… one gets the impression that Dmitry Evgrafov will become an important contributor to his generation’s neo-classical movement.”

INSIGHT XX (Tom Adams Remix)

Dead Light was created after Anna Rose Carter and Ed Hamilton moved from London to a quiet, remote space in the countryside. The migration out of the sprawling metropolis to their new rural refuge was a transition that significantly impacted them both, and one that continues to turn and shift under the ambivalence of change, loss, and new beginnings.

J.R Alexander - Memories

Sound In Silence is very pleased to welcome J.R Alexander (aka Message To Bears) with his new Moments EP.

Being already well known under the moniker of Message To Bears, the multi-instrumentalist Jerome Alexander has released so far two albums, one EP and one split album, all of them on the recently closed Dead Pilot Records.

This time he releases his new EP under a different alias, choosing for the first time to use his real name as the new tracks take a more electronic direction.
Moments EP is slightly less ambient and more beat based than his previous releases, while some of its tracks could have easily been released under the name of Message To Bears.

On Moments EP, J.R Alexander demonstrates a progression in his discography, creating five excellent tracks of beautiful soundscapes, using layers of electronics, warm synths, ethereal samples, gorgeous acoustic guitars, glockenspiel, piano and viola.
The finishing touch on the great sound of Moments EP was applied by the carefully done mastering of George Mastrokostas (aka Absent Without Leave).

This is a limited edition of 300 handmade and hand-numbered collectible copies, packaged in a lovely hand-stamped recycled cardboard envelope with the front cover image printed on a polaroid style photo paper and an insert printed on nice fabric paper.
