Our Black Martian comes from the realms of EBM. A bit rough on the edges but still very melodic. A new generation calls it Italo Body Music. An older generation would simply label it Trance.

We prefer not to use labels, but we want you to get an idea of what you’re going to get when you enter the musical universe of Mundo D.

Alen Skanner provides us with an additional interpretation of our Black Martian. Familiar but yet still very different. He may still come from the realms of EBM but as we travel further the story unfolds somewhat differently. It appears that parallel universes do exist.

Miguel de Bois however does not appear to be from a parallel universe but instead he appears to be from the future. Just as time can be sped up or slowed down, our remixer seems to be travelling at light speed. High-octane Hi-NRG!

Releasing on Rekids Special Projects in August ‘24, Procombo’s ‘Nothing’ EP is a robust, groove-laden set of club tracks built for the peak time. The RX Istanbul boss starts with the title track, ‘Nothing’, which features swinging organic rhythms, chugging chords, and gospel vocals. It sets the tone perfectly for the rest of the EP, with the tongue-in-cheek ‘Keep Your Pants On’ boasting some impressive techno stab work while a distant voice repeats the track name.

Procombo’s aptly named ‘Sequences’ then utilises exactly that to masterful effect. Mind-warping synth soundscapes accompany punchy drums while rides slice and whirl above before ‘Mumbles’ continues with chopped-up vocal samples and a more stripped-back techno feel. Closing out this workout, ‘Freakin’’ has a pulsing bass, rattling percussion and another irresistible vocal that drives the track in true jackin’ style.

Having first worked with Matt Edwards’ RSPX in 2021, Procombo has since released a steady supply of funk-fuelled techno records via the Rekids offshoot, each regularly supported by the likes of Luke Slater, Truncate, Richie Hawtin, DJ Bone, Pan-Pot, Pangaea, Elisa Bee, and many more.

Our new release is by Atakta, a producer based in Krasnodar, Russia, who brings us “Eternal Echoes”, amix of styles, dark sounds and broken rhythms. Participating in this EP is the rising DJ Aixa Yael, who has been paving the way in the Buenos Aires scene, one of our owner sof the Playadel Karmalabel, and also In Vertida, creator of the renowned party Rizoma, and founder of the Trabalengua Records label.

DISCHI presents “Orion”, by Cyrk. For their first release on the label, the Berlin-based duo composed of Sammy Goossens and Pascal Hetzel is back with a catchy four-tracker. Described as a Detroit-influenced blend of techno, acid and electro, their sound is both melodic and intense. With the “Orion” EP, Cyrk brings the listeners down a darker journey into clubland.
