 “Rewind it” is a recently established label by Gary Agletiner, also known as AGLE, a French producer currently based in Barcelona. The essential concept is to cultivate a Sounscape inspired by the 70s/80s, drawing from both musical and cinematographic influences. AGLE is captivated by cinematic masters such as John Carpenter, Stanley Kubrick, and David Lynch, as well as the electronic disco sounds of Cerrone and Giorgio Moroder. AGLE constructs his own enigmatic and aesthetic musical universe, balancing between shadows and lightness.
 With over 20 years of experience as an artist and DJ,AGLE first created a musical project under the nickname "My Faust," following up with releasing EPs, original tracks, and remixes under various labels, including Ritmo Fatale, Ombra International, and Espacio Cielo... Looking back to Plexi Glass debut EP “Echoes From Space”, released in 2023 on Ulla Records, we thought those tracks all had a potential to be remixed. So we asked 5 talented producers that we adore to revisit them, and share with us their very own artistic vision ! 

First we have Gewaltem, who took some subtle deviation to create his own darker, cold wave-ish version of “Magma Punch”. Then Anastasia Zems propose us to discover a more proggy side of “Hypnotic Marble”, laying some vocals of her own in the mix. Desire is next, and she delivers an explosive and uplifting club-ready remix of “Dust On The Road”. We also wanted to give a twist of our own to the release, so Austher took “Core Of The Meteor” to a more italo-trance field. Finally, we have Blutch closing the dance with a dreamy, melancholic and really personal reinterpretation of “Sky Sytem”, wandering somewhere between progressive trance and acid.

Plexi Glass - Remixes From Space [ULLA011] (Preview)

Attention banger alert! Parissior is a spanish DJ Producer who has been producing countless tracks for many years now. His style could be described as a mix of dark disco, indie dance, italo, trance but personally we think it goes much further. He has a total mastery of the art of production (something we have rarely seen), it looks more like sound design it sounds so huge. His tracks are not just DJ tools to be played but bangers to send in pick time. 

It is extremely powerful, we have already verified this during our recent skylax evenings (especially for our event “série noire”) and we can tell you that the effect is devastating. For us, he managed the perfect EP, the one that all the Italian indie dance producers, even the biggest names in the genre, failed to create. 

There's nothing cheesy about it, we've been listening to his music non-stop since we received it, no weariness in sight. This guy is monstrous. The 12 inch begins with the brilliant antennae, which is the perfect mix of italo new wave & trance, followed by canes venatici which could have been created by daft punk if they had chosen to be less commercial and put their balls on the table instead of hiding behind masks. Ceres and alpha apodis follow the same line. We miss words so much this maxi is gigantic. A f%c$ing masterpiece.

To add a final touch, just note that many of his recent productions have been recently played a lot by Pablo Bozzi & Soft Crash at Hör Berlin.

We begin our retro futuristic journey into 2024 with a brilliant EP by french DJ and producer Vaälha. Through dark soundscapes, mean synthesizers and heavy percussion, this Odyssey will make you feel like the main character in any sci-fi movie exploring the vast unknown space or an alien planet far from home. 

To make this journey a little safer, we brought along three talented producers; Panthera, My Secret Playground and Austher, to guide us through eventual parallel dimensions and alternate realities. 

With their own interpretations of what an ‘Odyssey’ could be like, Panthera opted for what we think is a modern EBM interpretation of reality. While this reality may seem like a stripped off version of reality, don’t be fooled! There’s an intricate amount of detail waiting to be explored.

My Secret Playground turned ‘Laser Shooting’ into an acid trip, exploring possible and parallel dimensions which seems both creepy and hauntingly beautiful, by adding additional melodies to the original. 

Austher turned ‘Clear Mind’ into a real powerhouse. A very adventurous powerhouse that despite all the power, feels somewhat more optimistic. If there was any fuel missing in the tank, it’s because Austher’s version used up all of it.

Next up on Tensnake's True Romance is a slice of zenith-energy Italo from long-term label friends Dan Corco and Max Muller. The duo have appeared across their catalogue in varying forms - both as individual artists and collaborators - and they do what they do best in aligning a potent studio set-up to create some immaculately executed dance floor heat.

An Alpha Juno line dictates the groove, gathering momentum as it snowballs over the top of a slapping, muscle-bound Disco kit. Panned stabs pop out with colour while a treated vocal bleeds in at the base of an electrifying breakdown. The drop boxes back in with equal doses of sass and drama that make it an absolute sure-shot for a peak-time dance floor.
