Sincopat is back with another exciting release, delivering our 101st reference is the talented Vhyce who has been on our radar for a while now. With a very personal and flavourful style he comes straight from Belgium but with Portuguese and Italian blood. Sincopat Big Kahuna AFFKT remixes the timeless 'Ordinary Thoughts', the track that titles the EP.
To start this trip we have Ordinary Thoughts, a timeless piece of music that includes two versions, the original with a stunning melody that will leave you speechless and a more raw and crunchy acid version, both versions will make you travel without moving at the same time you can not stop dancing. AFFKT has reinterpreted the two versions in the same remix with the energy that he has accustomed us, we are sure that it will give goosebumps to more than one.
We continue with Many faces, another great song from beginning to end, its hypnotic bass and etheric leads will make you lose sense of time and space.
And finally we have Something In The Air in which Vhyce looks again for the perfect groove, an authentic atmospheric experience to the deepest part of his sound universe and that adds the perfect icing to a well rounded EP.

The aim is to raise as much relief as possible for two organisations: Ukraine Pride and Dance Deliver. They are dedicated to support Ukraine’s queer and creative communities, all of whom have seen their lives turn inside out since the Russian invasions began on February 24. Livelihoods, families and cultures torn apart. We stand with, send love to, everyone affected by this humanitarian crisis.

Simple Cat (Original Mix) is an all out statement of intent from this new constellation of Berlin veterans, Tegel Boys, a collective of rock ‘n’ roll disco dons, studio cats, and acid-rave aficionados delivering a distinct sound distilled from their deep and diverse connections as players and producer-collaborators in acoustic and electronic adventures past. (Hazy Pockets, FJAAK, Hauschka, White Denim). Tegel Boys are dedicated proponents of live acid disco, 303-melt, electric guitar drive, dada-bongo bounce married to deep-digging dusty-sampledelics. This debut track is a sprawling march out into the apocalyptic desert, sprinkled with cult-cowboy samples, a knowing wink to epic dancefloor sunset rides past, a crisp swagger into the future. Initially described as “superlative 25th century electronic exotica” by Cowboy Rhythmbox themselves, the fourth EP from Phantasy’s in-house trouble and hitmakers received continued support from top jocks including Dixon, Jackmaster and Marcel Dettmann. Now, it’s dynamic lead track is rejigged, expanded upon and shot through with analogue energy by two equally inventive producer pairings.

Fellow outsiders on the inside of the house of house, Israel’s finest Red Axes take the first turn, coaxing the cosmos out of the original and allowing the bewildering vocal samples to lead the way through waves of more than pleasurable cosmic tension. Soon, with the timing just right, feet to pedals and strobe to hand, the pair unleash a series of distorted guitar licks that blow dust off the stacks, even throwing in a sharp blast of their trademark surrealist vocals for extra freaky FX.

On the flip, Marvin & Guy zone out and hone in on the original’s EBM-indebted elements to contribute a trippy, wave-riding electro rework that oscillates irresistibly. Teasing listeners with a playful, almost naive synth line, the mood shimmers instead with uncompromising acid, as the pair ultimately push the modulars into strange and hypnotic territories to get lost in.

Born in Berlin in 1985, Joe Metzenmacher's family fled to Walsrode, Heideton's homebase, before the wall came down. He went on a personal journey of discovery back to Berlin several years ago, spending many an evening (and morning) in the Panorama Bar, the inspiration for previous single, 'What's The Secret Word For Tonight', but has returned back to Walsrode to build the Heideton empire alongside cohort Borka & The Gang. Borka, born and raised in Russia, made his music-making debut in 2013 on Oliver Koletzki's Light My Fire with the EP Try. Subsequent to that he's released a series of productions that cover a vast array of bases, from the spiritual Rain on Disco Balls to the abstract, yet punchy, breaks-led Heidefunk on Heideton. The pair combined perfectly with 'Magic Talk', says Joe of the original, "Understand who you are, see who is around you, feel the moment and move in the here and now with your surroundings." Inarguable, whichever way you view it. 

Unsurprisingly, this remix package comes with a Detroit-imbued thread running through it. Tuff City Kids, the German pairing of Gerd Janson and Lauer, incorporate Detroit influences alongside add some European know-how without losing the central theme of the track, adding some serious punch to its under-carriage

'Last March we’ve been lucky to have him featured on Lost Tapes Vol. 3 (Pt. I) with his ‘Computer Controlled Drum Rhythm’. Now Jepe will finally release his first EP on AEON!

The Berlin-based Portuguese producer and DJ has created an uplifting yet nostalgic EP including three originals and a remix by Johannes Albert. The Restless Soul EP began to shape during last spring, as Jepe was roaming between enjoying sunsets on Kreuzberg’s Admiralbrücke and the white sandy beach of his hometown, Aveiro.
 
The first track ‘Congo Bongo Acid’ is an, at times, trippy combination of 80s inspired synths and an electro drumatronic Congo pattern. Following the opening track, ‘Reasonable Doubts’ feels a bit more sunny thanks to a combination of luminous synth arrangements. However, some parts of the song make you reasonably doubt the truthfulness of the ecstatic melodies. Lastly, ‘Restless Soul’ reflects just that with its urgent bassline that leaves hardly any time to breathe. With some delirious keys embracing you, you find yourself listening to disco disguised as house, driving your convertible on a Los Angeles Highway.

To complete The Restless Soul EP, AEON invited Johannes Albert to remix the record’s title track. The Berlin-based honcho of Frank Music is never shy to add a soothing melodic touch to the mix, taking ‘Restless Soul’ on an acid-driven tour to the dancefloor. 

Altogether, a versatile set of tracks delivered by the forward-thinking German label.'
