Born in Mexico, now living in France, Leonor is a well received producer with a remarkable impact in the electronic scene releasing in labels such Feines Tier, My Favorite Robot to name a few.

He lands on Polaris with a beautiful EP, featuring a collaboration with the  French producer Iba Boo.

The EP kicks off with shimmering energy with the track ‘Yo Soy'. The Mexican artist sets the scene with a sprawling, spacey trip. With deep chugging and undulating guitars, it's a swampy, intense road trip... with no way home. For the remix, German duo Peter Invasion & Gregor Habicht deliver their own version of 'Yo Soy', bringing their own acid and dark signature to the EP.

With 'Delusion' we welcome BOHO, Ryan Nasty feat. WATT! to the label with a brand new two tracker featuring a dazzling remix from Italian maestro Amarcord. BOHO, Ryan Nasty & WATT! have developed a universally loved unique style; consisting of dynamic, groovy, deep and hypnotic fusion of genres that perfectly fit in any kind of club or festival. Their releases have received high acclaim - with support across the board from the who is who is in the world of electronic music. 

To open the release, trio drops the delightful title track 'Delusion'. A track full of driving vibrancy, while the arrangement keeps you moving with the energy on offer. 'Delusion' conveys a club edge with deep stimulated elements, capped off by the trio's fantastic production skills and WATT!'s outstanding vocal work. We basically have the formula for a bit of a monumental outing. The groove and melodies are the key here, as this restrained gem works its magic while it plays away, creating a warm glow and creating an air of sophistication. Emotional dance-floor smashing beats from BOHO, Ryan Nasty feat. WATT!

The sole remix of 'Delusion' comes courtesy of none other than Amarcord, who certainly needs no introduction. He created a proper indie dance rework full of tension from the word go, as the atmospheric vibe subtly keeps you moving with warm tinkling sounds, a smooth edge and some nicely effected sounding pieces. His driving club touch up takes the energy levels up a notch, while increasing the melancholy with stripped back and expressive components. An outstanding remix from Amarcord who continues his remarkable streak of outstanding releases this year. 'Essential stuff'!

Last but not least BOHO teamed up with Greek producer Petros Odin to drop another indie dance club monster in the shape of 'Averto' to close out the release. Filtered stabs and dynamic drums are the name of the game. The duo navigates us into a drop full of excitement and suspense, all while keeping the energy up, allowing the driving melodic feel to shine thru over the many layers and textures to create a beautiful soundscape to round off this classy underground crowd pleaser. 'Delusion' sees a worldwide release on March 29th, 2024. Another essential release from ICONYC aimed straight at the soul, be ready to dance to it!

Based in the Netherlands, Doctr signs his first release with Mélopée. It is a heterogeneous EP of 4 original tracks that mix their influences sensitively and complexly. It is a haunting musical edifice where the groove and fabulous melodies tell the story of a third-kind encounter.

“First Contact” is a powerful Italo Banger. The track is efficient and strong and takes off in an epic way when the melody comes.

The piece “Please take me with you” can’t be explained, it can be listened to. Slow speed, captivating pad and lead, let’s go for the goosebumps.

With “Peace, no peace”, it’s time to fight it out on the dancefloor. The Italorave song is fast, uncompromising, unfolding a frantic rhythm.

The last original sound “Where do we go from here” seems to be about hope after conflict. A splendid italo tune perfectly cut to close the party.

After remixing Panthera, Panthera now takes care of giving one to Doctr. He signs here a fantastic and rolling story inspired by 80s atmospheres. As per usual, the audience is transported, eyes closed, smile on the lips: thrills guaranteed !

We welcome the talented Valerj again for the second remix to close the release.He gives “Where do we go from here” a darker and more progressive touch, where the tension keeps building over and over again. Awesome !

Boys’ Shorts, the dynamic queer duo hailing from Greece, comprised of Vangelis (formerly of LAGASTA) and London based Tareq, are set to unveil their EP 'Something To Forget’.  

Following their successful ‘New Era’ EP which was on high rotation on Berlin’s RBB Radioeins, and lending their remix skills to Local Suicide on their Eros Anikate album, Boys’ Shorts are yet again back on Iptamenos Discos with ‘Something to Forget’. The duo consists of Vangelis and Tareq who have been friends for over a decade and have had an incredibly successful year, with a string of highly praised releases on Permanent Vacation, Live At Robert Johnson, HE.SHE.THEY & Pets Recordings, and DJ sets in esteemed venues including London’s E1 and Berlin’s Berghain as well as remixing Alison Goldfrapp and supporting her on tour.  

‘Something To Forget’, the first single and title track starts with a strong kick and a prominent snare which punches through the mix and becomes a driving force which anchors the track. The bouncy and energetic bassline is contrasted with lyrics which are somewhat melancholic, however they are performed in a way that gives them an underlying sense of optimism.  

‘Something To Forget’ is sure to be a revered release by Boys’ Shorts and another exciting addition to the Iptamenos Discos catalogue. The full EP including both remixes will be released on all digital/streaming platforms and 12” vinyl on June 14th, 2024.

'Musica E Computer' is a momentous release from Slow Motion label head Fabrizio Mammarella and Rodion recorded in the legendary Marche Synth Museum (Museo Del Synth Marchigiano). 
A fully functional recording space that houses a fusion of several private collections of Italian electronic musical instruments gathered over the many years since their creation. The Marche region, being home to some of the most ground-breaking and foundational instruments, has created the likes of Crumar, Farfisa and Elka with innovative use from the likes of Tangerine Dream, Pink Floyd and Vangelis.   The opening track ‘Iris’ sets the exceptional tone for this release. Fully exploring the realms within the Marche with an eerie, metallic tropical soundscape showing their discoveries' breadth. ‘A Corrente Alternata’ brings us back to Mammerella and Rodion’s revered partnership as unmatched creators of enigmatic, timeless earworms. The driving bassline sits beautifully within the characterfully saturated drums and tweets of an equally enigmatic synthesiser.   ‘Un Segnale Di Speranza‘ launches us into the infectious, mind-bending signature arps of Mammerella and the rising harmonies of Rodion, with another ground-shattering bassline and arcane vocoders that transport you to peak time at Slow Motion’s Italorama Bar. ‘Musica E Computer’s’ soundscapes provide rich blends of the synthetic and organic sounds of the Italian region, acting as a geographic coda that can also be heard in ‘La Domenica Del Villaggio’.   ‘La Memoria Dei Sistemi’ slips us back into the energetic, electronic environment that Rodion and Mammerella have so delicately crafted.
