Based on an original idea by fellow producer Lennart, Slow Motion & Ritmo Fatale are joining forces in creating a new entity in the italo-disco multiverse : Universo Parallelo. On this ten tracks various the idea is to showcase artists from both labels, trying to merge their Italian and French music approaches. Known faces, new aliases & fresh newcomers share the bill on this existing adventure !

Founded in 2009 by Italian artists Franz Scala and Fabrizio Mammarella, Slow Motion Records has since become well-loved and respected for showcasing the very finest dance music from a collection of contemporary Italian producers. Now running between Italy and Berlin, the label remains focused on staying true to the original feelings and vibes that have been present on dancefloors the world over for the last 30 years.

Operating since early 2020, Toulouse-based Ritmo Fatale is the label held by French duo Kendal & Paul. They are bringing back italo-disco and sounds inherited from the 80s and 90s on the front of the stage under an hybrid and modernized form, boosted with EBM & early trance influences. They like to call it ‘Italo Body Music’.

Longtime passionate about discovering and sharing music, cultural and artistic references; launching and managing their own label is for them the best way to express their identity.

Mathias proves once again that he can breathe new life into the Italo music.

This single is also the perfect time to announce that Brandski is going to release his debut album in early 2023. And we are really very proud because this gem will be released on Mélopée Records !
To complete the original “Arena”, nothing better than welcoming two geniuses of the new Italo scene : Chinaski and Emmet Read.

Whatever originals or remixes he does, we are never disappointed by the musical vision of Chinaski. He drops here a perfect dancefloor Italo remix. Each sound is so well choosen, bringing a perfect retro-cohesion. The original is sublimated but its soul is saved.

Finally, the UK producer Emmet Read reinvents, with brio, “Arena” through an epic and cosmic remix. The track rise is magnificent, full of emotion. And when the music goes, the dancefloor is conquered !

Panthera is a mysterious figure, and that’s how they plan to keep it. Franz Scala offers the first remix of 'Homme Fatal'. He is a long-time friend of Vamparela, with whom the used to organise parties together in Thessaloniki before moving to Berlin. Franz is now the label head of Slow Motion and New Era and is known for running the infamous Italorama parties in Panorama Bar. His diverse sets weave smoothly between Italian Dance, Psychedelic Disco and Proto House, quickly turning the dance floor into a vignette-tainted retro nostalgia rave. Aside from producing on his own imprint, he has releases on World Unknown, Bordello A Parigi, Bahnsteig 23, Tusk Wax, Mechatronica and Discodromo's Cocktail d'Amore Music and frequently inspires dancers in clubs and events all over Europe. While preserving the catchy, stuttering bassline and 80s break drums, Franz's remix softens the track for a more melodic rework with lush synths and gentle, reverb-heavy vocals.

Amsterdam based Niels Docter, aka. Doctr, is best known for his releases on labels such as "Bordello A Parigi", "Silhouette Music", and Copenhagen based "Music for Dreams". 
He released his debut album "Good Vibes Only" last summer on "Music For Dreams", which includes the very well received single "Kisses In The Dark". 
This single, which is a collaboration with singer PYN, was also remixed by Tjade and received lots of Dj support during the latest festival season.  

Niels is now back with a special Minitel release and decided to stick with the kisses theme and create an edit of Debby's "Kisses At Midnight". 
The original is a record with lovely percussive parts and very sensual vocals. 
Niels decided to use some of these percussive parts and the chorus, in order to create something new and a bit more energetic. 
Along the way he started jamming to it and created a new lead theme for the middle part of the edit. 

Niels is currently working on new material and has a remix for Auxiliary Tha Masterfader coming up on Silhouette Music.
