Outdom Records celebrates its eighth vinyl release with "Funny Games," a five-track EP from the label's familiar artist, Denis Kostitsyn. The project fully embodies its cheeky title through an adventurous sonic identity, weaving together raw analogue textures and 90s-minded drums with modern precision. Kostitsyn, whose respected background includes a residency at Arma17 and acclaimed releases on Exarde and Mung Records, focuses his craftsmanship on creating a compelling fusion of weight and atmosphere. The tracks are built on a foundation of heavy basslines and shuffling percussions, while unexpected elements like acid stabs and dubby echoes add layers of depth and surprise. This combination results in a seriously functional EP for discerning DJs, offering a collection that is both hypnotic and unpredictably groovy, ensuring the dancefloor remains fully engaged from the first beat to the last.

Premiered here, "Stagemanager" immediately establishes its authority with a bossy, commanding bassline that dictates the track's entire rhythm. This low-end force is perfectly countered by a canopy of atmospheric pads that drift through the mix, creating a sense of depth and tension. The track moves with a distinct, swinging Electro-ish gait, giving it a classic yet forward-thinking momentum. This foundation is periodically ruptured by sharp acid incursions that tear through the arrangement with squelching intensity. Further punctuating the soundscape are sporadic vocal stabs, which act as cryptic commands, adding a final layer of rhythmic complexity and human touch to this expertly crafted, driving production.

We’re thrilled (and a little emotional) to celebrate 10 years of MM Discos. For the occasion, we’ve put together a selection of over 30 tracks from a wide range of artists — some who’ve been with us since the very beginning, others who’ve shaped our sound, many we’ve long admired, and a few who are definitely going to make a lot of noise in the near future.

Talking about MM Discos inevitably takes us back to Erkstrasse 19 — the place where it all started to take shape. Our base camp, where those endless afterhour sessions took place, spinning records for hours on end, playing whatever the hell we felt like. Out of that chaos, the MM Discos identity was born. Herr. Gross, wherever you are, sorry for all the noise :P.

If there’s one word that defines everything we’ve done, it’s music. We’ve always run away from trends and genres to craft our own soundtrack — one where disco, house, techno, breaks, pop, dub, electro, african rhythms, synth and rock all coexist freely. Basically, whatever moved us at the time.

That’s always been the MM Discos way. Balearic? Maybe. But really, it’s more about freedom — no rules, no labels, just pure musical instinct. Over the years, we’ve released what we truly believe deserves to be heard, no matter the style, no matter the hype.

Staying true to that spirit, this anniversary release comes in three volumes — a proper “sonic tutti-frutti” that you simply won’t be able to escape.

In this first volume, we move through a spectrum of sounds — from laid-back mid-tempo grooves to more upbeat, house-driven rhythms infused with that unmistakable Balearic touch.
