Hailing from the catacombs of Paris, Mon cher Guy and Zaratustra are joining forces in this new release! After throwing multiple parties with their collective Orchessons, and releasing tracks on various labels, they decided to gather in the studio to practice some musical witchcraft.
Blending electronic sonorities with some hints of 80s rock, they made extensive use of electric guitars, vintage drums and old-school synthesizers to create a nostalgic and mesmerizing feel. Despite all tracks being set in a dreamy and a nocturnal atmosphere, with the hurling wolves and vampires of « Night Creatures », or the eerie atmosphere of « Incantations », this EP is about melancholy, from « White Magic » opening the dance, full of hope and cheesiness, to the irrevocable « Nevermore » closing it.
Giving a trancy twist to « White Magic », we’re super pleased to welcome Brandski for the first time on the label, with this club-ready remix! And because we couldn't resist putting our fingers in the mix, label boi Austher also gave his epic Italo touch to « Night Creatures »

For our two years anniversary we wanted to treat you with something special, our first physical release, on vinyl !

Now you know our mojo : to explore that 80s inspired, wonky disco sound, in all its shapes and forms !
From Italo to acid, EBM or New Wave, we wanted to showcase some of the multiple facets of the label, our interpretation of these « Shifted Frequencies ». Between France, Italy, UK & Germany, we gathered a fine selection of talented artists, a mix of familiar faces and new encounters.

We’re thrilled to welcome Younger Than Me and REES for the first time on the label, and equally so to have Alberto Melloni back with us, alongside label founders Austher and Naranja. All together, they captured some fragments of our shifted frequencies.

After releasing recently the track “Sexotel” in our compilation RetroFutur, Panthera is back
with a definitely interstellar… cosmic… astral release !

This artist from the south of France has a gift : that of magnifying the analog synthesizers of the 70s/80s with a sensitivity all his own.
Surely inspired by the founding fathers of a new musical era like Jean Michel Jarre or Hiroshi Yoshimura, Panthera expresses a whole retro culture in his music.

The eponym track “Superchampion” is a beautiful and sensitive track, slow but sure. The perfect track to hit the road and get away from it all along the Côte d’Azur.

Clarion is cutted for the dancefloor. The rollin bass and the incredible pads/leads are supported by a powerful kick, a sharp snare and an effective rhythm.
Close you eyes, it’s time to dance !

To close the original tracks, “Cruising” is so sweet. When you listen to that music, you can’t help but think about 80s TV series full of good feelings like “Arnold & Willy” or “Punky Brewster”.

The first remixer is none other than David Carretta himself.
We are really proud that he agreed to contribute to this release. David brings all his talent in the track “Superchampion” to make it a hit between Italo & EBM. A hopeful story of almost 7 minutes at a time when tracks are unfortunately too short to tell great stories…

The last but not the least, the talentuous Doctr drops the second remix !
And it’s the perfect track to complete the release.
As usual, the dutch artist shows his mastery of Italo music.
Dropping perfect Batucada percussions to launch the track and during a crazy break, he brings to the original piece a real vintage but modern side ! Amazing !

Teaming up for the 15th EP on Heimlich Musik, Coss and Iorie deliver Casual International located somewhere between Chinatown and the Atlantic Ocean, with Shubostar and Arutani on remix duty. Cielo Azul is shaped by one of Iorie’s rare vocal appearances in Spanish with an organic beat underlined by dreamy guitar parts while Mu is based on a Chinese mantra supported by an intense bass line. Arutani’s interpretation of Cielo Azul is based on an arpeggiator bass accentuated by stripped-down parts of the original. Shubostar adds some extra tension by transforming Mu into an energetic Disco banger. Casual International as a whole creates a diverse picture of musical approaches to survive this special kind of summer.
